They are getting old. I think it's time to make fun of the the sleek and svelte Mo jokes.

If baseball fans didn't learn from Hal Trosky and Ted Kluszewski, I'm not sure that they're going to start changing their opinion on slugging first baseman now.

Maybe Jason Giambi's total collapse in the next 1-3 years will be more convincing.

Nope. Just looking at a 32 year old first baseman with knee problems.

Similar Batters through Age 32
Mo Vaughn (918)
Hal Trosky (907)
Ted Kluszewski (907)

If Giambi has much of a career from here on out, he'll be a great exception.

Yeah, those Moo Vaughn fat jokes are getting old..... except..... wait, there's something about that article that's just wrong.... wait, I've got it!

This can't be right! Are they saying that Moo was at a banquet, and he stopped eating long enough to talk? Maybe the reporter edited out the fact that the conference actually sounded like, "MMmmffff fffmMMMfff, career over, MMMMfffff" *chomp slurp smack*

I'm sorry, but you are empirically wrong. That was funny. This chart proves it:

See, you don't understand. The chart itself isn't funny. It was only there to show the empirical evidence for the existence of humor in Eck's post.

Which gives it a direct and nasty little relationship with Eck's "Mo is fat" joke. And we know that ain't funny, so the chart ain't funny. And it ain't funny that you're saying it ain't supposed to be funny.

Remember how that woman got stuck in a doorway in a Chicago restaurant, where people stabbed her with steely knives? It's time we stopped being so carefree or every one of us will end up in a metaphorical doorway with metaphorical steely knives stabbing us.

So not funny. The obesity of that post was needless.

How about we just make it one of those newfangled team errors, and move on?
