Idealy you patch Visual Studio with the Visual Studio updates, but if you have uninstalled it already I am less sure how you will be able to update the files in question. Your system will see that you have all the required files but it will not know that some of those seemingly fine files are causing some system conflicts elsewhere. For now I'd suggest running "Windows Update" from the START --> PROGRAMS --> ACCESSORIES (I think that's where it is) menu and download and install every suggested MS system update. If during installs you have a chance to overwrite an older file say yes - that is what you want to do for sure (& hopefully overwrite the problem file(s)). If there are only one or two updates that MS suggests then the next thing I'd probably do is install Visual Studio again , then patch visual Studio with all it's updates. I run visual studio 6 on my system too, but mine is always up to date patch-wise. Note that if you installed many Windows updates you may not need to do the reinstall of Visual Studio - try the game out first. Also remember that you will be required to reboot many times during the install process.Good luck Bangholla, this is a lot of work and some large downloads, but it's well worth it. These issues will cause you problems in other area's besides OOTP4 too so hopefully you can get it straightened out quickly. I'd also advise that in the future you avoid installing the more complex system software if you are not that familiar with PC's. In many cases the install process for that type of software will assume the user knows a lot about PC's, and it will often allow the user to do fairly dangerous things during the install process(dangerous meaning something that can make your system unstable, not dangerous physically ). That type of software also will usually require the user to keep up to date on vital patches, since many of the files associated with it are system files that can effect many other programs on the PC.

There have been some frustrating (for all of us) and unusual issues you have had to go through here. Good luck the rest of the way !
