I Have updated database w/ 2003 stats - Page 2

Did you try this database, everytime I try to create a league it say OOTP5 has caused an error, then it crashes. So basically this DB is worthless. Thanks anyways

did you all copy the files over the top of your existing lahman database?

if you do not it will crash.

Ok, that worked. I just put them into a new directory before. thanks again. guess I shouldve read the readme a little closer

OK, I did what you said. But when trying to create a new season by importing from this database, it just replaces the 2002 stats with the 2003 stats. I really dont understand the purpose of this database if you can start in 2004. Maybe someone could help me with this. Cause after everything was imported then it erased all the 2003 stats. Said could not find import year. I tried an 2003 import, was that the problem?? Thanks

Any ideas as to why you can't start in 2004? It says that the import year was not found in the database. Is there something in the lahman database that wasn't editted that needs to be?

When you import from the database, it starts at the begining of the season imported. So if you import 2003, it won't automatically start at 2004, but will start at the beginning of the 2003 season.

What he should do is add a 2004 season stat line by averaging the past 3 years' stats. This will kind of give a line of "projected" stats for the 2004 season and this way you could import the 2004 season. Or you could just use the 2003 stats for the 2004 stat line.

for you guys with yahoo i have tried to e-mail it to you, however, yahoo won't allow a file over 5 mb so it gets sent back to me. if you can think of another way for me to get it to you i would be more than happy to do so

For anyone who wants the file, I put it HERE. I'm not sure how much bandwidth my isp allows, but it should stay up long enough so a few of you can get it.

For those of you having trouble, make sure you put the entire (original) Lehman 5.0 database into the folder FIRST. then, extract jwisenberg's updated files over top of it. then just import a new historical league using the year "2003".

Yeah EDM, I got it to work that way, but what happened was all the 2003 stats showed up under the year 2002, so all the players have zero stats for the year 2003. It just replaced the 2002 stats with 2003 when importing. I had it work that way!!
