nmleague...very nice work...with an old fashioned feel to them.

If it were me, I would prefer a script for the nickname that would be easier to read...that would be my only suggestion.

Why the "N" for Knickerbockers? I really like the blue/green colors.

Nice colors for the Excelsiors, too.

SD Padres...very nice work as well...especially the green one.

The second one seemed to have a more modern feel to it...but it was very well done.

Henry is lucky to have you two doing these for him.

It would be nice to see what Shub and Cuss16 could come up with.

I'm sure dbacks will do some good ones, too.

Its the New York Knickerbockers I think. I will continue to play around with the fonts and colors, the Knickerbocker one uses a different font than the others.

Okay here is my take on the Brooklyn Excelsiors logo. The colours could probably be better, but it's a start at least.

In my case, I find I'm doing the logos in CorelDRAW, and then rasterize it through Photoshop with a bit of levels adjustment since the colours shift somewhat going from program to program.

I have a nice idea for the Pastime, think I'll try that one next.

Thanks guys. The thing i love about this forum is everyone is so postive. I think we all compliement each other very well.

I was thinking about mixing logo #1's background and logo #2's font. That might turn out good.

That sounds like a good idea... I know sometimes I have to take 4-5 tries at a logo before I start feeling comfortable with the results - and other times I never get there LOL

I am the same way. I try every single font, every single color scheme. I just tried matching the background and the font. Turned out very ugly. Back to the drawing board.

I like that Beaneaters one, SD, very nice.

I would only suggest moving everything down a bit so its centred a bit more in the background, as it looks a little high. And that's pretty much a nitpick too.

Here's my idea for the Troy Haymakers. I was going to do one for Baltimore, but I had something in mind for Troy I wanted to try, to see if I could make it match my mind's eye view (it didn't, but I'm still happy with how it turned out).

These are getting better all the time !! Going to be really hard making a decision.

LGO - the Troy logo certainly beats the "h" out of what I was using LOL

SDP - I like the Beaneaters, would suggest extending the pinstripes to the edge and maybe dropping "Boston" if it looks too crowded. On the Bridegrooms, if you could use a Font that's more turn-of-the-century... I like the idea, the the 50s font is bit too modern.

A thought for the Knickerbockers.... taking off on the Yankees logo, how about a baseball bat with a black tophat over the top of it.... just something that popped into my head

PS: As time progresses (from 1901 to 1956) I'll probably update logos for various teams - so some of the newer looking ones I'll keep for future use

Here is something different. I recall seeing alot of pictures of sports teams and organizations from the late 1800's early 1900's, and they seem to have banners or flags for the group. So here is one try.

nmleague,

I like the banner design - but maybe for the Pastime Club instead of the Keystones (I really think the Keystones logo should be designed around an actual keystone).

The Knicks is interesting but don't much like the color scheme.

To All:

I'm starting to make choices - going to need three logos for each team by "era" as follows... 1901-1930, 1920-1050, and 1940-1956+.. That way I can update logos as the years progress.

I've listed below what I picked and which ones still need to be done - so there's no double effort... I'm hoping that since I added later years, dbacks and cuss may want to give it a shot as well !!??!?!?

Again guys, thank you VERY much for your work - and I'll be sure to give you credit on the UBA websirte

Code:
.	1901-1930	1921-1950	1941-1956+

Excelsiors	LGO	?	?
Bridegrooms	NML	?	SDP
Pioneers	?	?	?
Knickerbockers	?	?	?
Haymakers	LGO	?	?
Beaneaters	SDP	?	?
Keystones	?	?	?
Pastime Club	maybe NML's ?	?	DSP
