I came up with another one too. How about the option to steal/hit & run with 2 strikes?

Fix the problem that causes the correct home stadium not to show in pre-game screens. Probably low priority, but you did ask.

Full pitch mode so I can call pitches or have my hitter take pitches steal on certain counts. Double steals with runners on the corners. More in game managerial control.

Sorry to hear of your horrible vacation Markus. Personally, I think vacations are totally over-rated to begin with

How about low-A, and rookie-level minor leagues with shorter seasons? Spring training with actual games, and the option to run different sorts of drill sessions such as fielding drills, hitting drills, throwing, etc. I also liked the idea for a more in-depth manager mode with something like weekly comments from the owner. Better yet would be weekly reports from your scout about minor leaguers that had a good week, perhaps a hitter and pitcher of the week. I'll second the ideas about mound visits, the option to steal with two strikes, and the option to call pitches. Someday it would be great if you could make the number and type of pitches effect a pitchers stats, for instance a lefty having to develope a change-up to get righties out. Also, it would be nice if a player with A range and .930 fielding percentage could actually develope into A range with .970+ fielding range. I also can't find where the catcher's runners thrown out average is in the batting reports.

I have a gameplay suggestion. Allow us to decide whether an outfielder throws to the cutoff man or to the base the lead runner is trying to take. I am so frustrated watching my outfielders always throw home and wind up with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Baseball fundamentals call for the outfielder to throw to the cutoff man. It seems in OOTP he always tries to throw the runner out.

Hey Markus....just a little idea but is there anyway the game can track Grand Slams for players....it would be cool to see who ends up with the most.

Hi Markus,

glad you are back and sorry about your vacation.

I got three major things to update :

1. News : does anybody read the news anymore, I don't. I know it's hard to programm but there has to be more in there i.e. big trades, all star teams, big wins, MVP+runners up and so on. much said about it. but look at the Icehocky manager from eastside, they have a pretty good new section.

2. trade system : there is still something wrong with it (either to hard or to easy)

3. manager mode : have the owner tell you something everyweek or month to make it more competetive.

One last thing, when you hit the simulate button in the ingame screen, there is no way out, so when you hit it accidently you'll have to simulate at least half a inning.

Thanx for the great game

There is no way that I can find out of the player tracker screen either. What the heck is it for anyway?

Welcome back

Couple of thoughts

1) Have a "smart sort" when sorting columns. Seems like most (if not all) columns automatically sort in ascending order. I.E.-If I click on the AB tab, I want to see the highest numbers of AB first sorted to the fewest. However, if I click on ERA, I want to see the lowest number first sorted to the highest. Each stat should automatically sort in the way that makes sense.

2) This is probably for next full release but I would like to see ownership changes in manager mode for solo play. Maybe you are spending money...winning all the time and a new owner comes in that is more conservative financially. Maybe you offer a contract to a free agent and when you click to submit your offer, the owner pops in and says "you can't do that". Like I said, have it fluctuate among the teams.

Markus,

One thing I would like to see (and I didn't see listed in any of the above)h is to display in-game the defenses current season fielding percentages. If someone makes an error, I think it only makes sense to see his percentage drop while in-game.

Pitcher's ERA and batter's averages change during the course of each out and at bat, I'd like to see the fielders do the same. Rather than simply having each individual's default fielding percentage listed.

Thanks for considering.

Sorting

Speaking of sorting, not sure if this would be feasible for an update, but I'd love to be able to have a screen with custom stats. For instance, I find it crucial to know LHP/RHP splits for batters when setting my lineup. But the "Stats 2" page doesn't list how many AB against LHP each hitter has. So I don't know if his .400 average means he is 2-5 or 20-50 against LHP.

But that's just one example. It would be ideal to be able to customize what we see rather than using the preordained sets of categorical comibnations.

the player tracker

I'm not sure if this is possible to do in a patch, or if there are already any plans to update/tinker with the player tracker for next version, but what about adding special categories to the player tracker menu? Like for example "traded players", "drafted players", "players cut", etc, so when you add a player you can add him under the desired category. I love the tracker, but when I have 10+ players in there, I always forget why I added them

Include released players in the export. Will be a HUGE time saver for commishes.

Give us a confirmation when an import is imported successfully. If an import was invalid, say why.

Store the following split stats(vsL and vsR) for pitchers:

IP, IPF (if the guy who made an out is a right handed hitter, the pitcher would get .1 IP toward vs R). This would enable ERA to be calculated for split stats.

That's all I can think of for a patch. Welcome back from your "vacation".

I didn't see this one above :

Adding runners left on base in the boxscore

Something I did see above and want to cast another vote:

Adding a fielding range HTML report for the league to tell if your guy has a shot at a slick fielder award.

There should be a close button at the bottom of the pop-up. I use it to follow the players I've traded away or other interesting players in my leagues.

along with the left on base stat mentioned by tategter, how about double plays turned in the boxscore?
