I really don't think it will take that long this year. In spite of some of the kind of annoying bugs folks have reported, a lot of the fundamental underlying things are probably in better shape this year than it has been in quite a while.

Once we've had a little more time to take a pass through some of the bigger reported bugs, deal with stuff like cleaning up the skins a little more and get a couple more patches out, I think things will be in pretty good shape pretty quickly.

I've played virtually every version of OOTP after the first patch, and once in a great while after patch two without issue. Part of that is, I'm sure, due to my slow style of play. Manage every game and get in two or three versions per game. Running up 50 to a 100 seasons in a short amount of time? I could see waiting a month while following the bug/tech forum and seeing what is still being reported. For slow players like me? Probably not necessary.

Meanwhile in me-ville, I'm hitting opening day of year 22 in the USBL. I've manage to break and fix entire multi-years worth of draft pools already.

(that's over 7,500 clicks of the finish today button for those counting at home)

I was just going to say this. I play like you and really haven't experienced issues other than a few places where it's hard to read things because of colors/background colors. I usually do come up with a larger scale sim project later in the summer but by then things should be in good shape. If that's the only way you play, I get maybe waiting, but if you like to play out games and do a few a day....you should be in good shape overall I'd think.

Thank you Lukas, great to hear! And by no means was my comment meant to be a shot at the dev team or game at all, just a general note about sports games, but really anything. Buying right on release is the same as being an early adapter with tech, there are bugs that will pop up and part of playing right away is expecting those to happen.
