Absolutely nuts.

The NCAA's appeal will not be until the middle of February. Lotta good that will do. The damage will have been done. But the likelihood of the NCAA winning even if the trial date was pushed up is very unlikely. Because guess where all 4 judges on the appellate court got their law degrees? Like, how is that justice that every member got taught by the same institution?

Other college programs are strongly considering NOT playing Texas Tech this year. Something to watch.

IMO, every school that can drop a contract to play vs them w/o getting sued, should do so. In every sport.

Texas AG says Big 12ish will be liable if they punish Tex Tech for playing Sorsby. I say, "How?". The injunction says he is eligible. It doesn't say he has to get in the game.

I don't know how this will work out, but one outcome may be that the NCAA becomes truly irrelevant.

Big 12ish suing Tex Tech & Tex AG for the right to punish Sorsby

Nothing I've seen from Tex Tech has diminished my feelings from long ago that they are an institution w/no moral compass what so ever.

NCAA asks for expedited ruling on Sorsby's eligibility.

Sorsby has decided to enter the NFL supplemental draft. This will end his NCAA eligibility. Evidently, the heat got too much for him & the Raiders. The potential reprecussions & future bad blood out weighed one addict's skirting of consequences.

NFL made the right decision. Can't believe I just typed that. At this point, Sorsby needs to see if the Rock's UFL has an opening next spring.

Probably the CFL is in his future, assuming the CFL can hold their nose long enough to approve his contract.
