OOTP uses the term AI the same as any other video game.

Exactly.

Have you checked contracts?

Ugh
To go along with this 18 year old that was promoted to the bigs...the signing and releases of players each game, has gone down, but it still there.

I noticed Fraley was released and then signed. He originally signed a 9.1 million dollar deal for 1 year with AZ...and was putting up a 1.7 WAR by early June. He was released by AZ and 4 days later signed with Texas.

I feel like the AI has gotten worse since the new patch

Can confirm that weird things are still going on, necessitating me to continue playing OOTP25 for the foreseeable future.

The 2025 draft featured 192 out of 586 drafted players being released before the year was even over.

Also, MLB rosters at the end of the season feature 184 players with an overall of 40 or lower, there were 319 players with an overall of 45 or higher in the two AAA leagues. 30 of these were rated 50 or higher and would be able to contribute to your average MLB team for sure.

It's a shame that these problems continue to persist in this year's version, despite it being out for over eight months.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think 26 is gonna get fixed. If someone still has the old versions of each patch on their computer, your best bet is to rollback to each version one at a time and see where things got FUBAR'd.

At least that way the single player portion of 26 could provide some value for those of us that would like a simulation of the season and to go forward without the issues introduced in every patch for quite a while.

I really hope they aren't done trying with 26, but I completely understand if they are. Feel the same way as a consumer. In my opinion, this definitely taints OOTP 27 if 26 is left in this shape and support is over.

Ya I've been playing every version since OOTP4 and I don't remember most of these issues from any past versions. I may be wrong though
