Bracket 13 recently completed with the 1971 Baltimore Orioles defeating the 1965 Pirates in a great series. Aging Frank Robinson came up big and was awarded series MVP

KInda wondering how the 2000 Orioles ended up winning a bracket. They were not a good team, only 74-88 in real life.

Besides a few tough teams, they had a relatively easy road thanks to other upsets

Round 1: Beat 2 Seeded 1987 Tigers 2-0
Round 2: Beat 10 Seeded 1983 Pirates 2-1
Round 3: Beat 3 Seeded 1973 Orioles 2-1
Round 4: Beat 13 Seeded 1995 Mets 2-0
Round 5: Beat 11 Seeded 1914 Cubs 2-1
Final Round: Beat 6 Seeded 2001 Indians 2-1

I've been doing a similar project and have had some mediocre real life teams make it a long way....even to the point of beating out World Series champions and other much better real life teams. There is something about certain types of players from certain eras that OOTP really likes. Partial seasons can be a big factor too and it looks like the 2000 Orioles had a bunch of them. Charles Johnson with 21 HR in 286 AB for example. Lots of guys like that on this team and they import really well.
