My A team is so streaky...it was looking great we were actually 3 1/2 games up with 5 weeks to go and then all the whales opened the bank and loaded up on the new cards and we slipped back, managed to at least retain a WC spot and lost...not a bad season and I'm pretty close finishing the Negro missions, we'll try again next year, in the meantime I pocket 125 Clubhouse points not bad.

Season 5 Results below.

Although one never knows what odd pack or game achievement will suddenly put afterburners on your team, the current view is that Cleveland and BigCity are my most successful teams - with Mentor close behind.

If I can just get the HD bonus for Cleveland, I think they will avoid falling out of favor. BigCity will get a boost with the LG promotion, and Mentor has about 24K to get someone that can make a difference.

Milwaukee, Oakville, and Chandler will probably float around in LS until something changes.

All-in-all I'm not disappointed, but it's unlikely I'll check on the 3 LS teams more than a couple times a week.

After never being lucky opening packs in OOTP (I did have decent luck in 22) this season, I'm absolutely on fire...

I just managed to clear the logjam for SP2 and finish the Paige quest, decided to wait til next Thursday to open the Perfect, went to open the two standards. I then accidently clicked open the Perfect, for a second my heart sinks until I am shocked to see no Black card...

OK Orion, drop the hammer

Who'd you get from the Perfect Pack?

BTW one of my FTP teams just won 99 games and a ring in LG, and used the 35K PP from the promotion to finish LAD and ARZ missions and have an all diamond team in HG with 6 97+ SP (using McDowell as a closer.

That McDowell card is one of the best 99 pitchers from what I've seen.

I think the smarter move was to sell him, but what fun is that. Yeah, I'm gonna max him out and try to get to Perfect, it's worth going for the gusto even if for only 1 season I think.

1st in Starter ERA and 1st in Reliever ERA, that'll do team, that'll do, I already had a solid rotation before that pull...

I got up to High Diamond this season and now I'm getting wrecked. I tried everything I could think of, bought Mort Cooper as a starter, shuffled pitchers, relievers, strategy, etc. Nothing helped.

I got lucky and got the guy I needed for Brooks Robinson, put him on 3B, moved Honus Wagner to SS, deactivated Derek Jeter. Didn't help, possibly worse.

I could get Satchel Paige if I spent my points reserve but the person leading our league has him and he's not even doing that well last I checked. He was 4-4 at one point. It seems hard to squander the whole reserve to finish off that mission chain.

I'll be happy to get relegated back to LD.

Having a lot of fun with the Team Chemistry experiment. Having a lot of luck with just fire and forget buy orders when there's a card I really really need that's not affordable. When Orel Hershiser dropped I fired off a 25k buy order and went to bed...in the morning he's on my roster. He's still going for 50k... sometimes it can't hurt to throw out your best offer and maybe someone is impatient to sell.

Jacked up Jobe led the league in wins as we cruised easily to the #1 seed, had everything lined up and facing a team we went 6-1 against, only to fall quickly in the divisional round. I should be happy, we are still slated to head to Perfect it appears but feels like a lost opportunity. Anticipate a brutal season and demotion back to HD, but I pocket another 150 CP and the 75k PP, don't mind if I do. I think I may even liquidate a player or two and stockpile funds for next month.

B team had a very nice run, losing 4-1 in the WS and promoting to HG where we are probably in big trouble, but we'll see.

Well, here we go for Week 7...

PS: The numbers under "Comments" are just a breakdown of Perf-Diam-Gold-Silv-Brnz cards on the primary roster for reference.

Honus and Brooks is very viable still, it's what I have going.

Feel like I'm being fed good cards. Have always suspected OOTP RNG isn't that RNG.

I'm on a downward slide and as usual, I don't know why.

I had 4 seasons in LD with winning records, then 1 in HD 65-97.
I thought, well, I should be at least ok in LD when I get back. Nope, 2nd worst in the league 48-73.

Bad in every category except defensive efficiency and errors.

Mike Trout was an absolute waste of PP, I'll tell ya that.

It's getting very noticeable now that the available players in the card shop are only marginally better than what I already have, so I drop check the list a few times a day in the hopes a deal shows up. Since I don't grind away at tournaments, my options for gaining enough points to go after the biggest players are limited. Likely going to stop tracking 5 of my 6 teams over the next week or so, and just stick with the one tied to the twitch drops... hoping for a big hit at some point.

PS: If anyone is interested, I'm also posting on my Western Reserve Baseball Association in the Dynasty Thread

Other players upgrading their teams. Flaw and reality of PT.
