As you pick your first 3 (it may have been more) draft picks. It was so utterly unlike OOTP I laughed when I saw it, it covered the screen like receiving a celebratory message on an iPhone.

I'm being lighthearted, but I do think it's a bummer it actually breaks something unrelated if I read the notes correctly.

If you start a new Custom/Fictional game using the MLB structure and teams, the game doesn't create a minor league system for the A's.

It's a known issue and they probably don't have a fix for it yet. This game uses names to tie things together and since Oakland is no longer an associated name, it really created issues in the game structure from everything with uniforms and everything else. I will not doubt they will get it fixed soon though.

It’s pretty easy to fix manually but people just have to be aware of it when creating new games.

Speaking of the A's, in my saves they always seem to move to Texas - specifically Texas, as opposed to anywhere else - as soon as possible. Wonder if that is intended behavior.

Fixed teams hoarding reserve roster players when no minors are used.

What is considered hoarding players? If one doesn't set a limit on reserve roster size, at what point does the game decide hoarding is taking place?

From what I can tell, the issue was that they were holding onto players even if they had no room on the Reserve roster. This is what caused the players to be in Limbo.

The new setup attempts to keep them to around 50 if you don't have a limit. Previously they would sometimes max out and try to get like 170+

I believe in the OOTP26 default A’s come in with super low fan interest. Maybe needs to be bumped up now since in a different city? (Sacramento)

50 seems like a good number. Question now would be, is the AI dropping the right players to stay at 50? By this I mean, is the AI keeping at least one extra catcher on the reserve roster (at least 3 total for team counting 2 on 25 man roster). Does the AI keep an extra SS etc. Got better late in the 25 release, but at times last year I had teams with only 1 catcher. Teams with only 2 catchers. Then an injury would happen and Corbin Carroll would end up catching to the tune of 5 or 6 passed balls a game. When this was happening there were always ample number of catchers on the free agent list. The AI simply had zero interest in signing them.

Another thing I just noticed is that when I check the score of a game of one of my minor teams, the link is wrong. It takes you to a different game so there is no way to view the box score of your minor league games?
