I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but what you are saying is different from what the manual says.

Okay. Thanks. I just found it curious that in OOTP Baseball 25 in 1971 Catfish Hunter was listed as a starting pitcher. Thanks for answering.

The manual is out of date in more than a few places. It's why we've moved to having the wiki to replace the manual.

Unfortunately, the wiki says the same thing about World Templates!

Not sure where to put this so I'm asking here, but...

What's the deal with Chan Ho Park?

I just noticed that in 26 his name is Yoo-Young Yang, and I went back to 24 and looked him up and his name is Jong-Wook Jang.
It's odd.

Might not be proper place, but just started a 1958 Start Replay. Cannot find a place to turn OFF two way players. Checkbox missing. I am in the PCL and we have two way guys all over the place. Is this actually a Historic fact?

I don't 100% understand how the licensing of Korean players work, but I know they don't have the rights to foreigners in the KBO and there are some Korean players they have to do random names for as well.

Oh, I see. I just came across Park randomly, I hadn't looked into other Korean players. That's interesting, I would've thought he'd be covered by having played in MLB or something.

I now realize I have no idea how any of this works.

Havana Cuban Stars West Empty Roster 1920

When starting a historical league in 1920 with minors on, the Havana Cuban Stars of the NeL have nobody on their roster. Some of the players are in free agency or other minor league, but most of the players need to be added by importing historical players

Hughie Jennings has his batting stats (and real life stats) with two columns for Brooklyn in 1899.

It's actually correct. There are three stints.

March 11, 1899: Assigned to the Brooklyn Superbas by the Baltimore Orioles.

August 3, 1899: Traded by the Brooklyn Superbas to the Baltimore Orioles for Gene DeMontreville and Jerry Nops. Gene DeMontreville, Hughie Jennings and Jerry Nops returned to original teams on August 8, 1899.

New update fails to fix Dodgers 2024 season opening day roster

So I just received the update for OOTP Baseball 26 on Steam. The 2024 Historical Season seems to have been worked on. However, I will point out that Anthony Banda was not acquired by the Dodgers until May of 2024. And Clayton Kershaw was on the Injured List until July or August of 2024. As of right now the 2024 Historical Season has both on the Dodgers opening day roster.

This is a known issue and while I can't officially speak for the developers, I'm sure this will be addressed soon

Note that the same issue will occur with that same team if you start in other seasons - 1922-29 I think - and with a few other NeL teams in the 30's; in addition, there's a smattering of post-1932 (some NeL & not) teams where this happens.

A minor fix

The 1971 Oakland A's historical season still has Jim Catfish Hunter listed as a DH. The DH did not even arrive until 1973.

Hey Lucas. I am having a problem with draft pool players not populating when the season is over. I imported my game from 25 into 26 and the import went great and was seamless so I was proceeding into the postseason and when it came time for the highly anticipated draft reveal imagine my chagrin when it did not populate. There was NO players to draft! I waited until the World Series was over and went 1 day into the offseason before importing. I started this game in the 1996 season using random players from all eras. I redid this whole process 3 times making sure the draft pool reveal dates were good. No players to draft! Help as this problem is a complete gamebreaker! What is the solution?

What is the in-game current date, the reveal draft date and the actual draft date? Moving the draft from defaults to earlier than the default Oct and Nov dates can sometimes cause the game to still be tracking you see in last year’s draft window as it were. So that’s the first thing to investigate/eliminate as a cause.

Post Pandemic No Minor Leagues

After the 2020 season only the Arizona and Florida Complex Leagues exist as a minor league system.

When running historical saves, players load in with their career total Professional Service Years instead of the number they would have at the current year. I'm specifically noticing it with real life minor league players.

For example, save set starting in 1990. I'm seeing 7 Professional Service years on a 19 year old player with a single year in the minors for 1989. I check their real life stats & see that they had a career that lasted added up to 7 Prof. Service Years. It's counting years that haven't yet happened, so I'll be losing tons of players prematurely to MiL FA. This is common from what I'm finding as I manually correct it within my organization.

Manually importing players into draft still causes them to be brought in as DH...spending 10 minutes every class going through and swapping positions.
