Cosigning this. Certainly never understood the need to hand him what he hasn't earned. Helmut Marko looks like an absolute jerk after the weekends Hadjar and Lawson had considering his comments

I am not a Verstappen fan by any means, but I cannot believe they cannot find him a better 2nd driver when he is in the prime of his career.

They have exactly what they want in Liam Perez-Lawson*, a warm body that tanks the team result to get more windtunnel / testing hours to give him the best car possible while behaving exactly like he likes his cars - AND who doesn't get into the way of him while he fights for the W.

Granted, it would be less embarassing if Driver #2 would at least qualify 8th rather than 18th.

*I am threatening to stick to that moniker until results and/or morale improve(s); also because it's a throwback to Spanish driver Luis Perez-Sala who drove for Minardi in 1988-89 and amidst a pile of DNQ's scored them one of their very precious points.

Blech. Lando only 6th for the sprint. Sir Lewis on pole ahead of Dutch Max and Ossie.

Sir Lancelot quietly having another competent showing in 10th.

Liam Perez-Lawson goes out bottoms in SQ1. Yuki promotion in time for Suzuka incoming??

If I'm Yuki why would I want to get "promoted" to Red Bull when I can be the clear #1 driver on my current team and continue working on making them better. Other than maybe Lando or Charles, Max is going to annihilate any other driver on the grid who they pair him with.

I'm just throwing some more fuel into the tire fire at Red Bull.

If I'm Yuki I wonder whether Honda still love me enough to bully Sir Lancelot out of that second Aston Martin for 2026+ and nothing else.

Well, Marko is a bigoted walking trashcan and is probably the only reason Yuki isn't in that seat right now.

The 2025 Chinese Sprint, a.k.a. Landobot is back.

Lando, do you even ******* know at what time I get up to watch you offroad in turn 4? They said you "avoided Russell". I don't know, looked like another lap 1 skill issue.

If he had finished behind Sir Lancelot, I might have actually cried.

At least Ossie chewed up Dutch Max for second place and Lando retains the points lead for another day.

Liam Perez-Lawson doing Liam Perez-Lawson things.

Also, Lando, it's too early for me to have this many panic attacks. Keep it on the gray stuff, thx. Naughty bugger.

We don't know yet whether the Lap-1-from-Pole-decrepitude is a *Lando* issue or a *McDimwit* issue. After all, Ossie has never started from pole before.

After Lando's rancid weekend so far, I'd gladly take a third place tomorrow.

Lando shakes home a second place with no brakes.

Ossie wins, Lando retains the points lead, I am content. I am also sweating because those last 8 laps were decidedly not fun.

Ferrari with the double oof!

Piastri! Let's go!

Who knew Lando could make a good start? If he keeps that up he might just win a championship.

Now they are talking about swapping Tsunoda in for Lawson before the Japan race (we see what you're doing) after 2 races!

Like Jason Moyer said, if I'm Yuki why would I want in that car now? Just setting him up to fail like they set up everyone else to at this juncture

Hot take: Christian Horner is waiting for a ... "biological solution" for his Helmut problem, and he's been waiting for some time.
