He is part of the beta team that helps the devs. A lot of them write a lot of the things you see in the game but you can only write for what is coded into the function. But giving lip to anyone and being rude is never needed no matter WHO says it, normal users, beta team members, or dev team.

In real life, Mike Cameron just missed it in 2002. In his fifth at bat, he took one to the warning track.

You can also write your own game recaps.
And yes, it can be a lot of work, too. |

I just thought it was a funny meme-like tangent to think of possible “buried the lede” headlines from baseball (or otherwise) history; really just the old, “Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?”. So I guess all I was trying to “add to the conversation” was a dose of levity. Of course, I don’t really fathom what someone could contribute to an actual debate about whether or not a game with a notable accomplishments function should include setting the single-game home run record should make the cut… beyond perhaps their own silence. My fabricated Larsen lead-in is certainly no more absurd than the pseudo-intelligent posture of some on this forum to attempt turning any critical observation—no matter how definitively legitimate—into a matter of rhetorical contention. No, but seriously. You're the guy who constantly shows up to always defend beta-testing. It's so strange that you're actually known for that lol. Lol what a really weird thing to be known for here ![]() I apologized. He accepted. It's over and all is completely good....... Your input is completely unneeded and served no purpose other than eggin' on something that was already addressed and resolved. But I guess it did involve beta testing, so I should have known you'd show up with your cape on. Last edited by md40022; 08-18-2024 at 09:41 AM. |

"Despite an exceptional performance by Yogi Berra, the Pittsburgh Pirates outlasted the New York Yankees this afternoon, thanks to a late home run by Bill Mazeroski."

And I have NEVER (been playing OOTP since 2012) seen a recap that acknowledged the heavy toll that errors and unearned runs factored into a result. It's like defense doesn't even exist. Three unearned runs given up in a 5-4 loss, yet no mention.
And then there are the bizarro Player of the Game picks. Typical: A starter does well for 6-7 innings but loses when the bullpen collapses and some opposing batter collects 4 RBI with two 2-out hits. But the beleaguered starter gets the top honor! Another thought: I'm no fan of instant replay reviews, but if they are such a part of today's game, shouldn't there be a way to incorporate them into OOTP? |
