Thank you for this tremendous work!

I would like to share this with more people in Korea, but it seems that not a few people are having a hard time because the way this file is executed is different from the universal way to execute Quickstart files in Korea.

Can I change this file to a Quickstart file and share it with the Korean OOTP community so that users in Korea can easily use it? I will write down the URL of this post as the source.

*** UPDATES BELOW!!!!! ***

Major updates gang! v4 of Roster set now available!!

Roster file is still Opening Day, however I have calibrated around another 150+ prospects total.

Also….I’ve calibrated quite a few players that may have been underrated initially by ZIPS/Pecota. Below is not a comprehensive list, but can give you at least an idea:

Increases include-
Volpe

Crochet - big increases. Looks like legit 60 SP early on.

Blanco (Hou)
K Crawford
Jared Jones
Blackburn
Witt Jr
Lugo
Wacha
Peralta
Littell
Yainer Diaz
Joe Ross

Ethan Holiday (2025 eligible)

Wyatt Langford - massive increase to his speed and base running. He’s 97th percentile in speed!

Ive also put in the Cedala extension since it occurred early in season.

For a player like Joey Bart, who was DFA technically after opening day, I’ve went ahead and placed him on the Pirates.

Since injuries to Royce Lewis, Luis Robert Jr, Shane Beiber, and Spencer Strider occurred after opening day I did not put those in.

HAPPY MLB SEASON EVERYONE!!

Is there an "easy way" to update from V3 to V4 without having to redownload, uncompress, etc. all over again?

This is great work to share, thanks.

Also, hats off to someone who's already fixed Silver Slugger / Gold Glove in his shared save. A scholar and a gentleman.

Hey gang,

Before I start my personal league, I made the following adjustments to a handful of players. Not enough to release a new version, but sending out if you want to adjust in your save.

Henry Davis, PIT (batting average too high, increased power, eye)
Mason Miller, OAK (beast-mode Fastball & Slider, calibration here)
Andres Gimenez, CLE slight calibrations

First, Thank you for doing these. Love this roster set.

I'd love your input. I play only the current (now 2024) MLB season as it unfolds using this roster set. So, I'm only really interested in ratings adjustments to players who play in "the show" in 2024. I started on Opening Day with Version 2. Then I have been manually making daily transaction updates to match real life roster moves. (I have AI moves turned off, injuries and trades turned off etc...)

I'm now manually updating players ratings to match your Version 4 and 4+ updates.
(In the past I have updated ratings with Live Start every month throughout the season. Not sure if I should do that and lose some ground on these V4+ ratings??)

Is there a List of all current MLB Players that have adjustments in V4 from V2 (or V3)?
That way I can update them manually to my season. I have done all the ones you posted references to as well as the screen grabs on Henry Davis and others.

Hope that makes sense of how I am using this roster and the manual list of players (just a list of names of players that have been updated) that I can reference. I don't want to restart my season that has made it to 4/14 with Version 2.

Let me know thoughts. Best and Thank You!

Hey dude!

First off appreciate the kind words and support!

I don’t have a complete list of changes v4 from v2 unfortunately, but…

You might be able to export the rosters from v4 and compare v2 if any changes via Microsoft Excel. These players in my screen shot were adjusted for certain in v4 vs v2.

The others are around 50-70 prospects that baseball America & scouts are high on. Lemme see if I can get at least their names listed in a post

Curious about your approach to "calibrating" these players.

Let's say you're looking at someone like Anthony Volpe's hitting approach this season. He's being more patient and making better contact. So when you're adjusting ratings how do you decide what to change? And how much to change it? Is it a set number amount or do you just increase the current rating a certain percentage?

For majority it’s a slight adjustment based on updated information.

Volpe went from a 55FV to maybe a half grade increase to a 60 FV.

I believe Blanco (Hou) and Crawford (BOS) were upgraded from 40/45 to 50FV range.

Wyatt Langford significantly increase to running ratings. I don’t recall offhand but from 50 up to around 65-70

Also…

When I say calibrating, it’s usually trying to get ratings/talents more in line with MLB scouts notes, and/or real life performance thus far. I won’t keep doing it forever since I also want to start my own personal save.

As I sit here today, (in real life) Miguel Sano starting batting fourth for the Angels, and Harold Ramirez with a 87% percentile (!!!) sprint speed of 28.5 ft per second. I believe the Rays broadcasters were talking about Ramirez losing weight and in better shape this year.

I’ll probably adjust those 2 slightly. If so I’ll post here as screen shots.

You should be able to just download the file, unzip, then place the *.lg file in the saved games folder.

I don’t use Steam so I’m not certain exactly where that is located. Hopefully someone else can chime in!

Just chimed in to say this is awesome that you did this. I am going to be checking this roster file out. Kind of waiting to see what this next patch changes then time to start the next save.
