Thanks for everything you do, Lukas. In case it's helpful — and not sure how much of this is under your control vs. how much comes from outside databases — here are some notes primarily on the Red Sox org based on a default new game with scouting at 100%. Some of these are quite minor, but figured better to err on the side of being annoying on the off-chance any of this is helpful as things take shape.

The biggest issue for me so far is over-inflated ratings for free agents. The minute I start a new game, teams are climbing all over themselves to sign Eric Jokisch, a 60/60 starting pitcher who in real life hasn't sniffed the majors in a decade. There are a bunch of these guys scattered throughout the FA list (not only international journeymen, but guys like Tyler Dearden (40/50 in-game) who in real life are fringy minor leaguers). The realism suffers off the bat when teams like the Dodgers and Phillies are dumping good players on day two to sign Adam Plutko to a big contract.

As for the Sox:

Michael Fulmer is healthy and on the active roster when a new game loads — he underwent UCL surgery and will miss the whole year.

Brainer Bonaci has been suspended for the season.

I hesitate to nitpick ratings too much, but two thoughts for consideration:

1) Seems odd that minor league org guys like Eddy Alvarez are 50/50 overall, above guys competing for the Majors at the same position (namely Enmanuel Valdez at 45/50). Similarly, Boston's third and... maybe sixth catchers, Roberto Perez & Mickey Gasper, are at 50/50 while their big-league guys, Wong and McGuire, are both 45/45. Not the end of the world, but it has some screwy implications for the AI.

2) Guys who are not considered viable major-league prospects seem to have awfully high potentials (see, e.g., Max Ferguson at 35/50; Albert Feliz at 25/45; Bryan Gonzalez at 30/45), while others who are on track to be major leaguers seem deflated (see, e.g., Luis Guerrero at 40/40; David Sandlin at 25/35; Kristian Campbell at 20/35; Angel Bastardo at 30/30).

Again, really appreciate all you do, and thanks for humoring us. I only point this stuff out in case it's helpful for refining the game — not to be a pest — so feel free to ignore, of course.

1. Elvis Andrus is in MIA instead of AZ. Additionally, he has 1 year $3M MLB deal in the game whereas he is under a minor-league contract.

2. Daniel Susac is listed as a switch hitter but he is a right-handed batter.

3. Eric Hosmer and AJ Pollock retired so they shouldn't be in FA?

Thanks for this it's all very helpful. Especially the transactions may be a bit more off than usual as the guy who was doing these couldn't continue, so I've had to do them myself. I'm sure I missed some, because no one source seems to have them all, even MLB

On the ratings, especially for prospects but even for established guys, as mentioned in the original post, these are definitely still more of a WIP this year because of the early release, so it might take a couple patches past OD to get them more finalized.

So actually pointing out stuff like this is very helpful, as a lot of it is still to be done and it makes sure stuff doesn't get missed.

EDIT: I fixed/updated most all of this. The prospect ratings may change more or get even a bigger boost as we go deeper through rating the org top 40's in the next couple weeks.

He isn't set on an MLB deal in the roster editor. I'm not sure what's going on there. If he got called up and it's after OD, he would automatically get assigned an MLB deal, so maybe that's it?

EDIT: I tried something, hopefully will fix this.

Thanks for taking a look! Not sure what caused this on my end. I believe I was still on the day the save started, March 18th. But it was definitely not yet OD, if that's helpful to know.

He's a pre-arb player. So this is correct. Once he's on the MLB roster for a day once the season has started, he'll be assigned a minimum value MLB contract.

Once you click on the retired player, you can 'unretire player' to add them back to the free agent pool.

It'll probably be a couple weeks until we do much here, the priority is working on ratings for regular players and prospects for the moment.
