My new Where Legends Are Born dynasty report (Baseball side, at least)

The 1873 Almanac is now being created. Once done, it will be 1874. Freeman was listed as the number one overall pick for the MLB Draft, but there was no way I was going to let him go to the Cubs, seeing as Freeman is from St. Louis, and as he is a hypothetical version of my father in whichever dynasties he's appeared in, whether for my dynasties or for at least one other person's dynasties in at least one case for them. Besides, the Cubs didn't need another left fielder here.

It ought to be rather interesting to see how well the hypothetical version of Gauguin might do, once he starts playing for the Cubs. Although he's a bit older than the normal age range for potential rookies in this dynasty, being at least 25 years old here, it seems.

I don't know if the other unsigned players from above will sign with the teams that drafted them, but I hope they do. Maybe Winston Churchill will be able to watch his father play for the Athletics, if Randolph signs with them in time. Although if he doesn't, he'll most likely have to become a free agent instead, I think.

If Woolworth signs with the Diamondbacks, I wonder what might be plausible enough for this version of him, when he's not actually on the field playing and all, of course. Same thing with any of the other historical people represented so far in this dynasty. Especially if the game's fatherhood timeline pops up from time to time in it for them, at least, as well.

All eleven players mentioned above signed with their applicable drafting teams by the signing deadline in 1874. So none are going to either be in one of the next pools or free agents for at least the time being, it seems.

In reality, Jellinek helped create the Mercedes, for instance. With him now in the Tigers organization, I wonder what that might mean in this dynasty's world, potentially.

Will Winston still be born in England or will he be born in the States? What might Gauguin do in Chicago? Or F.W. Woolworth out in the US Southwest? Some rather interesting ideas to perhaps contemplate here, I think. CD out.

Four of the eleven players who were mentioned above in several posts already in this thread ultimately made their teams' Opening Day rosters for 1874. The four players who did were Henry Clarence Freeman, Luther Burbank, Frank Winfield Woolworth, and Hugo von Seeliger. All the others will start the 1874 regular season on their respective teams' reserve rosters.

As that is the case, I will try to keep you posted on things related to those players where and when possible and appropriate and all, as the 1874 season progresses. Some of them are not rated very high at least as of the present time, and it is quite likely that they might not see much time in the majors normally, but I'll still try to keep you as well-informed about them all as I can, for sure, folks. However, before I have the Opening Day games played in both relevant leagues, I think I'll need some graphics work done for certain teams, if it hasn't already been done for them. Once the items for Lubbock's Ranchers related to another dynasty are done, I'll likely need some work done for the Gunners of this dynasty, at least, if not several other teams in this one as well.

If I remember correctly, someone did some items for a team called the Montreal Voyageurs. I'll just have to find that applicable thread again, and if I haven't already, download the appropriate items and all, of course.

Found some Montreal Voyageurs uniforms done and posted on these forums by someone else based on some work done by a guy on the Sportslogos dot com forums, so will be using those for at least the time being. That means that there's one less team that will need some work done for them in the near future, fortunately. I also have made a few caps for the Toronto Aeros to go with uniforms I'd made before and recolored logos found earlier, so that's another team done here of the listed ones so far, thankfully. But that doesn't mean that all the needed graphics have been found or made and collected by me, just yet, folks. I still most likely need at least some work done here for several teams here, it seems, in any case, before I can advance the relevant in-game calendar past Opening Day 1874.

Once the Boston Gunners have a full team set to work with, I'll post the remaining required team-related details for each team as needed, where appropriate and all, in the appropriate request thread, if not in my main graphics thread, just so you know. Hopefully, we'll all somehow see the needed work for them all completed fairly soon, those that still need work done for them here, that is, folks. CD out.
