Hi everybody!

We are continuing to fix reported issues and make updates, so here is a new public beta, version 24.9.78. Please give it a try if you'd like to help

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta. This patch is compatible with the previous patch for online leagues - exports will work between versions, however both clients and the commish need to update to benefit from the online league fixes.

Changelist (24.9.78):
Fixed ball levitating outside of glove on different player model scales
Fixed many issues with live start rosters, injuries. Fixed H/E in live starts games log
Fixed issues with owner goal evaluation (financial goals, some evaluations not scaling properly)
Adjusted coach relationship with players (should cause less impossible signings, especially during the season)
Fixed not being allowed to offer up to arbitration estimate
Fixed owners injecting too much cash when no revenue available
Fixed IAFA offers not counting properly when owner does not control budget
Fixed minor league players getting rated too highly with no real stats
Fixed minor league DFA players when over roster limits due to rehab assignments
Adjusted historical defense ratings
PT: Added park info to team popup, Next Game home page widget
PT: Added your current card count to card shop export

How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 24 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 24
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: ootp24betapt
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Can you go a little deeper into the adjusted historical defensive ratings, what major changes were made and if it is necessary to start a new simulation to take effect...

I've copied and pasted my earlier post, this is what most vividly stands out as far as major changes that I can see:

On historical exhibitions, whether loaded in exhibition mode or reloaded not in historical exhibition mode, lots of players on teams from 2020-2022 have the lowest possible fielding rating, as opposed to way too high, like it was before. Their range is set all the way down.

24.9.78 정식패치 나온다고 하더니 live start roster 이슈 문제를 내놓으면서 시간 끌려고 하는거 아닌가요?
live start roster 누가 많이 이용 하나요?
왜 그곳에 신경을 그렇게 쓰는지 이해가 안되네요.
그냥 live start 삭제해도 문제 없을거 같은데요.
차라리 AI팀 트레이드 제안이 너무 어이가 없던데 이 부분이나 수정 하세요.
AI팀 능력치 20-20 선수나 능력치 낮은 선수를 제시하면서 유저팀 선수는 어빌 or 포텐 40~50인선수를 달라고 하지 않나...
유저팀에게 어빌 50대인선수를 연봉 보조를 부담하면서 달라고 하지를 않나..
이런 트레이드가 몇 번을 오는지 짜증이 날 정도로 옵니다.
유저팀에게 AI가 말도 안되는 트레이드 제안 좀 고치세요. 제발
제발 트레이드 마감시한 타임라인 그거 만들었다고 좋은게 아닙니다.
그냥 좋게 좋게 ootp 즐길려고 했는데...좀 더 좋은 게임 만들수 있을거 같은데 좀 더 신경 써 주세요.

That's a good add in theory, but the path chosen is a little rough. If your projected gate increases or decreases YOY, it should change the Gate Share Lost projections and Gate Share Gained projections as well.

If I'm rebuilding and my gate suffers as a result, it's made worse by the net loss on Gate Sharing I experienced as a winning, popular team, or vice versa. Hopefully you could tweak to adjust at least the Gate Share Gained by the same % change as projected Revenue/Game.

They have really improved Google Translate in recent years. It may not be an exact translation, but they make the results plausibly fluent.

When will it be officially updated? It has been more than 10 days since the beta patch version was released.

I was just trying to enjoy OOTP... I think we can make a better game, but please pay more attention.

I did notice that the beta did not follow the usual Thursday/Friday release, followed by Monday's official publication. Not that I was upset like this fellow.

On the coach page you can select which team to view their relationships with. That may use the same selector as other places, so if you were hiring coaches for your DSL team it's possible that dropdown will default there until you change it.
