Not trying to divert this thread, but, every time I see Rickey Henderson's name, I think about how few players we see in MLB that are left-handed throwers / right-handed batters. They are rare, and Rickey was one of the most dynamic offensive players ever (2,300 runs, OBP > .400, 1,400 SB).

Cleon Jones also comes to mind, but there must be others....

Old and retired now, but that was me back in the day. Only thing I did left-handed was throw. Batted right, wrote right-handed, held a fork with my right hand, kicked right footed. Made it as far as my 9th grade baseball team, but like many others, couldn't hit the curveball.
