Fred Link left the game with a dead arm. It is not expected to be an issue by his next start.

Wilbur Cooper threw five innings of no-hit ball, but the Dodgers lost, 1-0, with a walk-off RBI single in the 9th, to the Reds.

John McCloskey left the game with an injured hand. We do not know its severity.

This was an odd game. There was no scoring until he 9th but then both teams scored three time apiece. It held there until the 15th when Brooklyn managed a 5-3 win over the Phillies.

The Dodgers continue to be underestimated. The writers have us going 80-74 and finishing 4th in the NL.

They believe it will be the Braves facing the Highlanders in the World Series.

Top AL Players - Ty Cobb, Athletics & Smoky Joe Word, Highlanders

Top NL Players - Tris Speaker, Braves & Claude Hendrix, Reds

They say Honus Wagner is the 8th best hitter and none of our pitchers are in the Top 10. Not even Christy Mathewson.
