We found that part of what can cause fewer outliers is having an abundance of players entering the league (so if the player generation levels in terms of how many players are being created are above the defaults that will decrease outliers).

Thanks for pointing this out! I missed this and it makes total sense to me. Basically it fills my major league with a glut of average players, which prevents the top talent from shining adequately.

Exactly. Basically, I think, the talent of the "average" player goes up so the best players just don't stand out as much.
