OOTP Go 23 - Soft launch in Canada and Australia today!

Yeah the purchase transfer is unfortunately clunky, but it was the only way we could make it work because the stores limit the information you can share between apps/access from another app.

I'll put up a thread with steps to transfer, but basically you need to
1) restore all purchases in the old app such that they are physically on the device
2) export from the old app
3) load in the new app

They won't be considered as in-app purchases in the new app, so afterwards the "restore IAP" button won't load them.

Both, you can either start at the beginning of the season with the opening day rosters, or you can use the new Live Start functionality which we added this year

That is an amazing feature to add to the app. Really want commish mode though. 2nd Exhibition tournaments.

Sure lots of people not able to buy all over again but if the cost to buy what I did last time is close, I'm just going to buy everything again. I want this new Go 23 to have everything clean and new. I'm kinda obsessive like that. Really so amped

Live starts work basically the same as they do on desktop. Every day you'll be able to create a new game that has the most up to date rosters, player stats and ratings, scores, etc.
Full release will be very soon, we're just working through some review issues with Apple right now

The two (2) options are start of season database or the most current day (LIVE) cumulative stats.

1. Why do they need to be exported and then imported over and over? The export method is fine, but why does a key need to be generated to import? Why does an email address need to be entered? Exporting a unique key for each user that they can enter in the Go 23 app would be so much more straightforward, with an email required on export to make it easy to remember the code.

2. Android has promo codes that can be used to gift IAP. Why isn't this much simpler solution being used? It would also streamline future importing instead of this process having to be repeated every year.

2) Could be that if Apple doesn't do that the OOTP ream doesn't want to/can't do an Android only option

3) it may have worked properly when they launched. Also other people have had it work correctly
