But I think they are fun and useful and all you have to do is set static financials and amend them as you need to or have inflation on very low and keep salaries extremely low as well. I usually set inflation for every league to 2%. That goes for Independent & International leagues. (and MLB obviously) My idea is to set it and forget it. I don't want to have to play around with settings or financials at any other point than just at the start of the league. (unless somehow a real world rule came into play)
I find the history of each player to be compelling, along with the idea that players aren't just sitting in FA.
I do like the idea of having all of the rules as accurate as OOTP will allow, as well as having the correct teams, ballparks, etc...
