Lots of interest in this topic. If someone batch converts them all and can post them as .png files in a zip on MediaFire or another free download site for others, I reckon you'd get a lot of thanks (if there was still a button for such things )

This won't work unless you can change file extensions. That, in my opinion, is worth some google time addressing prior to spending an hour resaving files using MS Paint.

I don't think it was necessary but I didn't want to overwrite the defaults in the oi folder. So I...
copied the logos folder to another location.
used your script to do the conversion there
named that folder "logos png"
put that back into the default Steam folder

It now sits beside the original "logos" folder. It can be easily navigated to with the v23 popup box. And if doing multiple teams the "logos png" folder sticks and the game defaults there for each new selection.

May be overkill but I get a bit antsy overwriting originals and won't unless I have to. In any case this is awesome and saved me a ton of time.

Did this just rename the extension or did it rename the entire file to something like file01.png.

From what I have found on running a batch rename it changes the name of the entire file.

For those that don't have steam on the C drive you need to change your drive in command prompt.

cd /d E:

E is whatever drive letter you use. In my case it is E yours may be different.

I also recommend you copy the .oi files and paste them in a folder outside of OOTP before doing this.

This is super helpful info, as I have OOTP25 on steam have been dealing with this issue.

I'm now able to change files one at a time, but not change all of them at once. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. What happens is I...

1) I type following in notepad

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 25\data\logos

ren *.oi *.png


2) click Save as from drop down, which takes me to the OOTP 25 folder, where I change name in box, at the very end from txt to png

3) I save it and the notepad screen then reappears

What do I next?
