Baez is quite the defender, but he's also piles of strikeouts and I didn't like his attitude in his brief Mets time (and even before on the Cubs).

Nice to see also that the weather is the same everywhere now: poor; sun-rain-sun in Detroit, and here it just randomly dropped half an inch of snow right now.

They're dropping like flies. Manning's shoulder injury is less scary than Mize's elbow.

The defense was brilliant yesterday though. Candy looked like Brookes Robinson and Castro played a shockingly stellar game at SS.

Very impressed with Soto last night. Comes in with 1 out and bases loaded in the 8th and closes with 1.2 shutdown innings.

Desperately need Mize, Chaffin, Funkhouser, Baez, and Greene healthy.

Baez was back yesterday. Chaffin is due back mid-week. Mize and Manning may only miss one more start each. Funkhouser could be back in a few weeks. Greene and Cisneros may be back end of May.

It has been a rough stretch and will continue for some time but the organizational pitching depth is showing through in all of this.
