I'd love to have a lot more options for the African American players in my save...wondering if any of you have dealt with this too...thanks!
edit: All's good, decided to dl the links from the fantastic work you guys have done, thank you!

I'm not the tech guy, I just compile the photos. However, the linked video looks quite helpful. Hope you enjoy the photopacks!

SABR has also posted a much better scan of the 1871 Fort Wayne Kekiongas to work with than what I had before. All the players on that team are also upgraded in this edition.

** One error is player Ed Forsyth is featured twice. The second image adds an "E" to the end of his name in error but is a vastly clearer image of him. My apologies for not correcting that before posting.

I'm having some problem getting the photos to show up in my historical game. I've downloaded your file and installed the photos to the photos folder in the game. In the settings, I've disallowed the use of fictional or NextGen images. I'm obviously not doing something right. Any advice.

I actually don't play this game but I did link a YouTube video a few posts above that did a nice job (I think) of showing the steps. One thing to also note is that the way the players are named varies occasionally between Baseball Reference (which I base my pack on) and the historical database within the game itself.
Thanks for downloading this historical pack and I do hope you have success in the game!

Thanks. I did watch the video and one of the problems is that it's two years old or more and the settings have changed. That said the gist of it was to unzip your pack and download it into the OOTP 24 photo folder which I did and that did not work. So, I'm assuming there is something in the settings that I may be doing wrong. Do you know someone who is playing the historical game and has this working for them. Maybe I can DM them and talk about the settings.

Do you have the individual photos in the photos folder? Or do you have them in a folder within the photos folder? You don't want them in a folder within the folder.

Question: Where did you find the 1884 Minnesota team photo?

Should read Minneapolis. I'll post it in the Photo Identification thread but it came from the Minnesota Historical Society.

I really thought that was the answer and I thank you for that because I did have the photos within a folder. I started up a new game and, sadly, that didn't produce the pictures despite the change. I've heard some chatter here that the photos don't work as a result of middle initials or names not matching what the game has. I don't know if there is any merit to that. I am using the photo pack produced by cinemaodyssey. Any other suggestions?

I made those changes and still no luck. I guess I'm just destined not to be able to use the historical photos. I was looking forward to it. I don't see any other changes I can make. I guess I'll go the facegen route. Thanks, pstrickert. I appreciate the help and your responses.

The only other possibility is that your game is pointing to the wrong folder. On the Game Settings screen, click on the Database tab. Look for the path to the photos folder.

Negro League Face Pack

I've been working hard on a comprehensive Negro League Facepack for the last few months. The scope and lack of resources really make this a challenge to find these players but currently I have compiled each player from 1886-1930. I'm posting this as a beta release and would greatly appreciate any feedback to make it better. Obviously there are challenges in finding good photos of a lot of these players and I apologize in advance if some of them appear to be not usable. The search goes on to find better photos. I'm extremely grateful to the Seamheads team and Cusick on this site whose work is invaluable.

The link to the updated NGL facepack will be posted on my initial post on this thread.
