Would be a lot more excited if one of those 1100 packs I had banked had one of the new cards inside, but oh well.
I have opened nearly 3000 packs since the Yogi mission dropped and haven't got a single postseason POTM card. Very frustrating!

I think I am at 1200 packs since Friday with none of the Berra mission cards. With the cards I am readily willing to sell and the returns I have been seeing, I expect that I’ll be opening another 800-1000 packs in the next week.

I hope you have better luck than I do! If I didn't see some of those cards for sale I'd open a bug report saying they must not exist.

I’m almost at the end of my cycle for the season. I just won my second Diamond championship so obviously I’m going to focus on my team’s second attempt in the PL. My next goal is to have a winning record in PL. Making the playoffs to stay in the league would be a bonus. I’ll probably drop off when I fall back to Diamond. Getting a killer card in my upcoming pulls would be a nice finale to my year.

I'm not keen on taking a winter break, but let's see what there is to do:

Main team: Up to date on missions except for Berra and tournament cards. New cards that help this team cost 1-2 million EACH for the foreseeable future. That means grinding tournaments. Can play perfect draft to win those tournament cards, may be fun, or more grinding, don't know yet.

1st alternate: No particular goal; I keep waffling back and forth between repeating FH3 or selling everything not locked down and spending that on a few top cards and be done with it. Repeating FH3 means grinding tournaments. Yuck, already

2nd alternate: Deadball theme team. To fill out this team they way I would like I estimate I need 4 mil. points. That means grinding tournaments. Double yuck.

I think I will reduce grinding from 3 teams to 1. Yeah, right.

I'm not complaining about the cost of cards. I think the game was well done and the roll out well balanced. If it seemed rushed, it's because the best cards have to be in play for 6 months, or why would anybody buy them?

I'll probably try some wonky strats to see how they play for fun. Maybe I will see how far I will fall before I plane out playing a full 90s era slugger team?

I wouldn't mind trying to get back to PeL but my pack opening addiction prevents me from saving up for the cards I'd need to compete there. On one hand I like the FH3 baseline and the chase cards or master series tournament rewards being the differentiator, on the other hand it will make it tough for me to compete there until I learn some self control. What can I say, I like the dopamine hit of ripping a nice historical perfect!

A nice addition to next year would be some way to opt into leagues with specific rulesets so those of us looking for something new and interesting could play together. Maybe a deadball league or only live cards, etc. I'd be fine if they waited until after the world series to enable the feature.

We are in the same division this week. Good luck!

I am very tired of the game, but I am also obsessed and can't put it down. I have settled on a build that I like (i.e. might never win a diamond league but makes me happy), so I went through my collection selling anything with value to accumulate enough points to buy one of the six latest meta cards. I am still quite a bit short of what I need, so I guess I will keep grinding tourneys. My engagement level is way down though.

I’m celebrating 22 straight weeks at Diamond or Perfect. As a F2P, it has been a lot of work but a welcome distraction as I continue to work from home. I expect that I’ll be traveling for work again next year and in general will not have as much available time to obsess over my team. Next season will likely be a test of how efficiently I can manage my team, but I have trouble seeing myself replicating the level of success I have had this year. In other words…Challenge Accepted!

At least you have the mobile client now! You can keep racking up those tournament packs and have a binge session when you get home.

Go is a game changer in that regard. Hopefully they will be able to improve the interface to be better for managing teams.

Agreed. I find it useful for joining tournaments and checking win/losses that's about it. Trying to sell cards and stuff is really cumbersome.

I'm delighted to report Moseby finally appeared, was instantly purchased, and Messrs Koufax, Speaker and Clemens have now been added to the Bassets' ranks.

Distinct engagement boost . Although I think it's probably limited to seeing if can give the boys a diamond play-off run or two before Christmas. I'm thoroughly bored with tourney spamming and have switched almost entirely to the weekly card reward stuff, more in hope than anticipation. I can't see me coming back next year, TBH, although I'll buy the PC game as usual. Just too much time and effort, and as much as I have time for video games I'd rather spend it playing something else, I think.

Baseball season is over, the major releases are done. Now it's just time to finish the collections I'm missing and then start the train over in a few month. Also congrats on the Moseby.

I will always be the first to say I don't really care about league play ever, though.
