The Summit series now interferes with historical preseason by removing players from the roster. It never did that before. I had my lines set now the players are not available in preseason who went to Summit so it is a pain to reset everything and reset after the preseason. This is an unnecessary change. I had to let the AI reset everything. And than change it manually to what I had previously after the series. Because you can make changes, does not mean you should! Changes should be make it easier in life not more difficult.
What about the not allowing us to stop the WHA coming into existence. Never heard a response to that thread. We should have that option!

You can stop the WHA from coming into existence by unchecking the "League Activation" option on the League Edit menu. For the WHA, that has to be done on or prior to June 30, 1972, or the league will appear in 1972-73.

With the new update "Set to Inactive" option in the league structure editor is now disabled in historical ," We cannot stop WHA from entering the league as before, if I read it correctly.

That's the option to make a league inactive when it already exists by editing its league data. The League Activation option in the historical options isn't the same thing.

In this update couple of New-York Islenders players (Braydon Coburn and Andy Greene) are retired, so they are gone from Islenders roster.

Neither one's retired in the database, and I just started a game with the current roster option and both of them are still on the Islanders.

[q]-added minimum language acquisition speed for all players, should prevent players from never learning a language despite remaining in a country for a long time[/q]
I'm not sure this is actually working. I have a Russian player who has been in the states (mostly NHL, a few years in WHL) since 2029/2030. I'm wrapping up 2045-46 season and he still doesn't have even basic English, just fluent Russian. Not isolated either as I have other veterans who only have their native language listed. |

I thought that fix was a retroactive one but maybe not. I also thought they noted which fixes had to begin with a new game and this one wasn't marked as such, but again, I could be total wrong. Is there an easy way of seeing which updates only take effect with a new game? Last edited by belial1134; 05-31-2021 at 09:06 PM. |

Is there another link I can use to download the option? For some reason the link given in first post won't download for me. I click it, screen flashes (it always does that) than directly after the download starts. But this time, I cant even get it to start downloading... any other link somewhere?

Just wondering if there is any chance we could get the injury slider available in Challenge Mode? I know it's Challenge Mode for a reason, but if other teams have less injuries as well I think it balances itself out.

No, that will remain in Commissioner Options. However if you wanted to make that adjustment before you start, simply start the game with a generic character not in Challenge Mode, Switch it, retire, and create a new character in Challenge Mode.

Just a little wondering. Not any specific issue but still
![]() Are we getting another patch this summer, before the real season 20-21 is over or maybe before the next season starts. Or is it all focus on FHM8 now

It's not likely we'll do another update at this point, it'd only happen if we found something absolutely game-breaking, and if there were anything like that it would probably have been discovered by now. We're trying to get back to our normal release schedule, roughly in line with the opening of the NHL season, so we're deep into FHM8 development right now.

Where exactly is the injury slider? I can't find it anywhere? Is it something that you only see in new games? Is it standard mode only or also historical? |
