No, I haven't tried to edit any files. I haven't done anything to it since runnng the 100-year test yesterday.

I did NOT reboot after the reinstall. However, I'm curious about the msconfig stuff. I did disable a few things this morning come to think about it.

Skydog, it's possible that LicCtrl has stopped running. In the tech support forum, there's a sticky thread with an elicense diagnostic program you can run--if in your case it is because LicCtrl isn't running, that diagnostic program will often fix it.

Yeah, elicensed programs won't run if the LicCtrl process isn't running. It would be nice if programmers who use elicense could put some code in to give an error message like "Can't find LicCtrl process"
