Also, in my above post, I was talking about how OOTP recycles players in random debuts. Therefore, I figure if one was to delete a 38 year old Babe Ruth before he gets drafted and plays a game, I have to think he would reappear later.

That was a trick I figured out early on. If I wanted all the real players to come in with thier total carrer, I had to delete the first inagural draft players BEFORE there is a draft. They will all come back later in the game as rookies as they have not been used.
Then create a new inagural draft pool of fictional players. Fine...but then as the game goes along each draft after that will all be the real players, and they will all start at their first year available
