The perfect season remains perfect! Robbie Ray was dominant, striking out ten Angels over eight innings while George Springer led the offence with a pair of homers as the Jays beat the Angels, 9-1.

Marcus Semien also homered for Toronto.

WP - Robbie Ray (2-0)
LP - Griffin Canning (1-1)

Record - 9-0!

It looked like the perfect season had come to an end. Cavan Biggio had a big Grand Slam but then Kirby Yates did the nearly unthinkable and blew a save in the 9th. When all seemed lost, Randal Grichuk, who came into the game without a hit this season, smacked a two run homer to give the Jays a walk-off, 9-8 win over the Angels!

WP - Kirby Yates (1-0)
LP - Raisel Iglesias (0-1)

Record - 10-0!!

Almost obviously, the Blue Jays are #1 on the Weekly Power Rankings!

Also, Cavan Biggio was named the AL Player of the Week! He hit .440 this week with three homers and 11 RBI.

Shogo Akiyama of the Reds won for the NL.

As the Jays tried to maintain their perfect season, the Yankees came to town, riding a six game winning streak of their own.

Hyun-jin Ryu showed why he is Toronto's Ace, though, and led the Jays to a 5-4 victory!

Marcus Semien homered for the 3rd time this year.

WP - Hyun-jin Ryu (2-0)
Save - Julian Merryweather (3)
LP - Jonathan Loaisiga (1-1)

Record - 11-0!

It couldn't last forever. The Blue Jays no longer have a perfect season as the Yankees dropped them, 7-2.

It was Danny Salazar's return to the mound after his problems with blisters, and he once again left the game early. It is unclear if it was the same issue this time.

Tyler Chatwood struck out six in a row.

WP - Gerrit Cole (1-0)
Save - Chad Green (1)
LP - Danny Salazar (1-1)

Record - 11-1

The all-time record for wins to start a season is 13.

The Jays lost today in a frustrating fashion as the Yankees scored on a 9th inning wild pitch to beat Toronto 3-2.

Bo Bichette hit his 3rd homer of the season.

WP - Luis Cessa (1-0)
Save - Aroldis Chapman (2)
LP - Jordan Romano (0-1)

From feast to famine as the Jays dropped their third straight. Today Salvador Perez hit a walk-off homer in the 10th to lead the Royals over Toronto, 5-4.

The Jays saw homers from Cavan Biggio, Bo Bichette, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., and Danny Jansen.

WP - Greg Holland (1-0)
LP - Steven Matz (1-1)

Record - 11-3

This was a frustrating one. The Jays went into the 8th with a three run lead but Bryan Garcia gave up two home runs and the Royals beat Toronto, 9-8.

Teoscar Hernandez had a good day, going 4 for 4 with a home run.

Marcus Semien also homered.

WP - Kris Bubic (2-1)
Save - Scott Barlow (1)
LP - Bryan Garcia (2-1)

Record - 11-4

Vladimir Guerrero went 3 for 5 and drove in 3 but it was Danny Jansen's 11th inning triple that gave the Jays a 7-4 win over the Red Sox.

On the triple, however, Jansen strained his hamstring and it looks like IL time is looming. Nate Pearson left the game with back stiffness but he is not expected to miss his next start.

Bo Bichette homered for Toronto.

WP - Rafael Dolis (2-0)
Save - Kirby Yates (6)
LP - Adam Ottavino (2-1)

Record - 14-4
