I haven't, it's disappointing that they've released nothing about what to expect in the new edition. I get that it's the same core game, but...I'm glad there are so many people who blindly buy that it rewards this kind of release schedule where we have to wait weeks to get information teased out like OOTP is a console game or something.
I have few hopes that it's going to have much for the core solo player/online league experience to warrant a pre-order, but inevitably every year I say that and then end up learning enough about it to pull the trigger. I want to believe this year is different, though. So I'm guess the joke is on me. |

I did, but I really wish they wouldn't put the cart before the horse and tell us what we're buying before they announce the pre-order.

Pre-order made
I blindly pre-ordered as did everyone else here. I trust the company in providing a new and improved model since they haven't proved us wrong yet like some other companies. It would be nice to know what we are getting now. At this point it is more of a curiosity and like the feeling of an expectant father!

It's like a hitting streak, you've got to keep it going!
I am in.

Going with Steam this year so haven't preordered but will have v22 on my wishlist or whatever Steam calls it.
Reason for Steam is the ease of modding for historical play. Planning on retiring in May so will be the first time I will have the time to not only play my on going game I've imported version to version since v4 but also a historical game on the side. Can't wait to see my 1969 Minnesota Twins, the first team I was a fan of in my childhood days. Lost interest in the mid 70's as strikes, FA, and litigation took the front page. Regained interest with the superstations starting to show most of a team's games and the Cubs became my team through WGN and Harry Carry. Anyway I'll miss the 3 day headstart where I normally build my views and filters while awaiting the first patch. Excited to get going like every year since 2002.

Have never pre-ordered, so Markus and the Crew can get the maximum bucks, I always pay the full price.
Been playing since 2003. Will get 2022, too... although I do wish they would let us know what the new features will be... I miss the road to release days from yesteryear. Hope the animation is improved by the new owner's programmers... and is smoother and less buggy... it was great in OOTP21... except for guys running through fences and weird flight angles of foul balls... hope they have fixed those two items. I will be overjoyed if they improve the animation... happy with the game otherwise, but I don't use financials, scouting, minor leagues... just play a simple fictional game with small leagues... love to play out games with the animation. |

Cool! I'd need about three weeks in solitary confinement and a Great Lake's worth of coffee to catch up to you at this point.

I will be pre-ordering but I had a question since this was my first year playing. When you buy a new version, will it remove OOTP 21 and move my current saves to the OOTP 22 version? Or is it a totally different game where I can choose to play either version?

No, all prior versions can stay on your computer(s) for as long as you want them to stay, barring any computer-related issues, from year to year. That is all. CD out.

Just pre-ordered yesterday morning.
I understand both sides of the "tell me the features before I order" debate, but speaking specifically from my own perspective no matter what features are or are not added - it will have no bearing on my purchase of the game. So my pre-order has been placed. Outside of advancements in the AI and depth of the scouting systems, I have not "needed" any of the shiny bells and whistles feature adds in years. |

Haven't pre-ordered 22, but just posted to answer someone else's question earlier, that's all. It may be at least June before I pick up this upcoming version, however, I think. CD out.
