Yes, it has all the seasons. It has some features in common with OOTP, but each game has things the other doesn't.

Retiring Non-Database Numbers
Is there a way to retire a number generically, or not have it tied to a player in the database? I'm playing as a fictional expansion team in the FPHL, whose city actually does have some history in minor league hockey. I want to retire / honor the numbers of some of those players, but they were never big enough to make the EHP database. |

What does and "indefinite" duration injury mean. Most players pop in with a timeline immediately but I have had one with a torn elbow ligament who has been out two weeks and it still says "indefinite".

If you check your mail, it's possible to find the information. Indefinite means a long time though. Probably close to a year or more. |

In historical, how are the RFA rules handled? Do they change to whatever it was in that season, or do all seasons just use the modern settings?

For the ECHL there is a maximum of 4 veteran players per team.
Is there a way to change that to 5 or 6 veteran players/team? Using mostly Standard setup (but sometimes Custom setup). |

A mixture. The NHL starts allowing restricted free agency in 1977-78, but the modern mechanics and compensation rules are used. Unrestricted free agency starts in 2004-05 (but it looks like I need to go in and adjust which players are eligible, though, I seem to have the eligibility set to the current age/years of service the whole way through instead of the gradual decrease that occurred.)

No, that field's not editable right now, the AI's handling of age-related roster rules has required some hardcoding that would likely be broken if they were changed mid-game.

Are there any plans to make it so you can offer more than 5 total items (picks/players/rights) on a side in each trade? It strikes me as being limiting. (As a side note: I know it's probably there to stop players from ripping off AI's and changing it would mess with the AI trades) But it would be nice to be able to add more things to each trade.

Player rights in historical game
In the 1920's NHL some of the 'non-human' teams are able to retain the NHL rights to players who have left to play in the PCHL/WHL.
If I release a player or lose them to free agency , and they sign for a Western team, I no longer own their rights. Is there a process to follow which allows you to retain the NHL rights to a player who doesn't sign for another NHL team? Last edited by Castleview; 02-10-2021 at 11:50 AM. |

I'll take a look at that, their NHL rights should be remaining in place unless the team explicitly releases them.

I know there is a way to do this, because i did it in fhm6, but i cannot figure it out. How do you replace the helmets on players heads with standard hats. I find the hats to be much more aesthetically pleasing then the bulky helmet personally. I tried looking under facegen options, but could not find it there.

Historical Waivers question
This may be an issue, or just my lack of understanding of the waiver process. In my historical game (1927 now) the non-human teams can claim a player off waivers and then immediately assign them to their minor league team.
However if I successfully claim a player and try to send him down, he must clear waivers again. He is then inevitably claimed by a non-human team and immediately sent down! There does seem to be an inconsistency, though I don't know if there are specific circumstances that allow a player to avoid clearing waivers a second time. Also sending them straight down seems to contradict the purpose of the waiver system. |

Got some questions regarding player training and growth.
I have noticed that pretty much every new game the same player is gonna turn out a little different. Do the skills they gain are totally random? Does player role and tactics the team uses somehow affects the skills he gains? Also in some custom games in rare cases i see the same player grow close to his max potential in 2-3 seasons when usually it takes around 5-6 seasons? (i use Commisioner mode to check this). What causes this? And btw "coaching prospects" attribute for coaches does nothing in regard of players growth. After editing it to 20 or 1 didnt notice a difference. Hey Guys,
I am playing in a European League and my star player got injured just before the playoffs. So I need backup which I found in another european league. I offer a trade. But each and every trade I make it says. "Opposing GM NAME: We want 500.000 for this player." adds 500.000. Confirm. "Opposing team GM NAME: Opposition team can't add this much salary to the payroll." I don't understand. I want to give them money in exchange for the player. Is he just denying the request allthough he says he wan't x-amount of money? |
