The Mets are dismal and will surely be relegated, but somehow they end up having big games in terms of PP. They already made north of 8k this week (not bad, again, for a sub-.400 team), and there was an open guest spot on the team, and I scratched everything together and got SE Yaz for 18k. The other option would have been Dolph Camilli for 17k.

The SE card of Dis-Mel Ott is out.

You should have caught me last week during my 7-game losing streak.

My team hasn't had the built in losing streak yet....I think it is happening now so you hit it right

I've had mine-- 9 games. Cut my lead from 11 to 5, but my run differential is still better than anyone in my division. A robust +68, with every other division leader +100 at least.

Paragon City Heroes are 7th in the league in runs scored and runs against but sit 2 spots above relegation with a -9 pythag, we have a positive run differential still, we had one game in which we left 28 runners on base. This season is not going well

Longview Woodchucks sit at 55-53 in Bronze .212....9 games out of the division lead and just a game out of the wildcard. Batting's up, pitching is down, but bullpen still holding their own.

Nacogdoches Jacks are in Stone .115, with a record of 62-43 and 9.5 games out of the division lead and holding a solid 4.5 game lead on the wildcard race. Closed out last night with a 24-9 beating of our competition. Batting's still down, but pitchers are holding strong....the four man rotation is doing me some favors.

Stephanie's Neffin-neffs have a 58-46 record in Iron .171, good enough for a three game division lead. Batting is 4th in conference, but starters are scaring me a little, but the bullpen shuts down the competition.

Still two days to go...

So I dropped some cash to get me that Babe Ruth.

First game he went 0 for 4 because I'm basically certain that the game is hard coded to ensure that good players always go without a hit in their first game.

Second game he went 2 for 2 with 2 walks, both hits were home runs.

My team is doing rather well, but still about 20K PP from the special Bagwell. I should be winning the WS but it doesn't look in the cards.

Popped a diamond card for once. Joey Gallo. The most useless of all. 45 contact. (snorts)

Dawgs getting it done with Pitching and D...73-54, up 5 games ....loving that ZR rating! Long way to go but managing to survive Bagwell hitting .233 this year and The Mick raking it at .193

Pesky has been my MVP so far....Ryan was extremely hot or cold in the rotation but absolute fire in the pen as CL. Swapped him and Lyons out...Lyons was lights out in the pen with a sub 2 ERA and 15 saves. He has transitioned to the SP role very well...10-5 with ERA in mid 2's Ryan is at 0.46 ERA in the pen with 13 saves and 37Ks in 19.1 innings

Those were the days. It's our division to lose and though 3.5 ahead feels like the 1964 Phillies.

We had the lead for a while but losing 8 of 9 surrounding the all star break put us on the back foot. We've got the second best record in the conference (and 4th best in the league) at 84-51, but we're 3 games back in the division, though at least we have an 11 game lead in the wild card.

Paige has been having an awful season. He's 11-12 with a 5.31 ERA; last season he was 20-4 with a 3.51 ERA. Maddux is killing it though, 19-5, 3.07, highest WAR in the conference. Guidry and Verlander at 12-6/3.61 and 14-6/3.60 respectively.

Babe Ruth's stat line in 26 games: .293/.426/.717 for a 1.143 OPS (194 OPS+), 11 HR, 27 RBI, 25 R, 1.4 WAR.

Robinson is hitting over .300 with an .885 OPS and 5.1 WAR (second best WAR in the conference). Sisler is leading the conference with 35 home runs, bouncing back relatively well from last week when he only hit 26 the whole season (his batting average is still down though, his .250 so far this season would be his worst with the team yet). He actually has the worst OPS of anyone on my team who's not a catcher, but I'll take the home runs anyway.

Lajoie is having arguably his worst season for us. Only 4.2 WAR with just a month to go, his previous low for a full season was 6.6, in 14 seasons with the team. His .797 OPS would be his 4th worst.

Paragon City continue to frustrate -10 pythag with a +28 run diff. far too often we score a bunch of runs in one game of a series then fail to score, or score very few in the rest. We are 11-22 in one run games, but our bullpen hasn't performed badly (4th in the conference in bullpen era) it's frustrating

Lowdown Lugnuts after a couple of months of playing around .500 managed an 18-7 month after the introduction of some fresh bats (Cano, Magadan and Sam Thompson) also helped by the fact that Sisler continued to hit really well and is leading the league in many categories. The pitching staff lead the league in Ks

Raccoons are four silver Twinkies away from completing the AL Central, which should shore up the pitching staff a bit. Alas, the wallet is empty.

They are up 2 games in the division and 7 1/2 for a wild card, and it will be very interesting to see how they're gonna blow that one.

The Mets' brass knuckle squad won a pack overnight. Their second ever. Of course there was nothing in there but disappointment and regret.

Mets had a 17-8 July, but then crashed back to form and are still in the relegation zone. A rally effort in September might save them, but I see them back in Bronze.
