Yeah, but it sure is hilarious.

waaaa waaaaa waaaaa

I got 1 perfect card in the first two weeks, having NEVER purchased PPs. I used that one card to generate 200,000pps in the AH. I've used that sale to now build a pitching staff of all Diamonds and an entire everyday roster of Gold (with one silver I've grown attached to) That's all through 5 regular packs and 2 gold packs. The AH and collections. Its certainly possible to build a team.

And I did it without the sense of entitlement that comes with spending hundreds of dollars on PPs. Pardon me while I high five the Karma God.

He needed the Kris Davis card to finish a collection. He threw the others back into the pool in the AH. LOL.

I was reading this thread and trying to decide what to do with my hard earned 6,150 pp from this last week, when I remembered that I had OOTP XX on my other computer. I started it last year but gave up probably around mid April due to my job. I fired it up and found my team had been slaving away and earned 354,865 pp without me.

Just for fun I opened 354 packs. I got 60 silver, 44 gold, 7 diamonds, and 3 perfects. I also got 7 Connor Joe cards

I was down to pack 110 before I pulled Fancisco Lindor. Pack 108 gave me Bobby Wallace...so almost back-to-back perfects. Pack 45 showed Garrit Cole.

So I didn't do well in diamonds, but did better than expected with 3 perfects. I also saw a boat load of 40s, 50s, and 60s. I think I'll stick with wheeling and dealing in the auction house.

I'm amazed at how much money some of these people must pay to get their teams. And, good for OOTP Developments.

I just went back to PTXX too and discovered I had over 100,000pps while I was just floating around in Gold.

I got a 100 George Brett and just because I like to pull cards, put him back in the AH! Surprise, someone bought him and I got a ****load again.

Hopefully you change your mind and stick around. The game can still be lots of fun trying to build value teams and earning free packs in tourneys so there is no feeling of "wasting" money if you get a brutal stretch. I do feel your pain though and have no problem with you complaining. I was in a similar situation in 20 and then suddenly one day I pulled a Schilling and Bregman toty within a couple packs. I do keep track of the golds/diamonds/perfects and for the life of 20 am still well below the stated odds, it is even uglier when I look at the 19 pulls. Some of us just have horrific overall luck but it doesn't mean the game isn't a blast to play.

Guess I had more luck so for than the odds might indicate.
Won 53 packs in tournaments, don't buy any.

That being said, I guess a long drought starts anytime from now. :-)

Just no love for those IRON players :-(

Its just a game! Enjoy it for what it is. After the past few weeks, we have learned about far more damaging global issues including human life, than trying to land a perfect card in PT with XYZ number of packs.

There are no guarantees in life except, death, taxes and my Maple Leafs never winning a stanley cup during my lifespan

Calm down. I think we knew this even before the virus.

I assure you the rest of us are pulling Perfects at exactly the advertised rate, and you will too if you want to come back.

BUT it happpens too often...I just opened 36 packs & only got 2 GOLDS that I had already....Money Muncher, but I don't buy them I save PP's. Money to crucial for me to waste....But I do LOVE the adjustments they make in the ratings this year.....I was hopeing there would be a good adjustment..THANKS
But people are getting crushed on pack openings...I'm one of them

tourneys good only if you a whale team...using 100 Cy Young's at closer bc not good enough for rotation...1 team in a league I'm in started his 1st 3 season like 154-8, then 150-12, then 145-17....Those have to be moved up.faster from BRONZE leagues

Here's my results for Standard Packs through this morning for my FTP Pack and Missions team. 95 packs so far (94 through tourneys, 1 from a mission).

It confirms that my pack luck this year is not good. But it also lines up with my belief from last season (when I was only monitoring Perfects, so I didn't have the data) that the stated odds for Bronze cards is too low. Since Bronze cards have a hard floor (every standard pack is guaranteed at least one Bronze), it seems a virtual certainty that you'll get more than just 1-in-5. You'd have to pull an inordinate amount of packs with only a single Bronze. And so far my results have been over 50% more Bronze cards than the stated odds, so I don't think that I'm just some sort of outlier.

Calculate with 5 cards per pack. (6 minus the guaranteed bronze)

bronze: 190 (95 + 95 guaranteed)
silver: 23.8
gold: 9.5
diamond: 3.2
perfect: 0.5

Im done. Good luck suckers.
That's not how pack drop rates work lol. It's a per pack chance, it doesn't mean if you buy 1000 packs you WILL get a perfect

My packs have been cold this week, so I had to get excited over pulling iron and bronze Astros that I don't have to go toward the mission

my only beef with collections, (since I'm a noob this year on them) is that they waited too long for the second set of missions. I know a sold off a couple of cards, that if I still had would've helped me complete a couple more missions.

You mean each pack is an independant event? Who would've thought that! (WARNING! SARCASM!)
