Ok, I finished the player portion, the free agent portion and the coach one.
You have to build your own events and the probability with it.
You have to link event with an injury number. Also I put a flag to know if the event result in a death or not, if yes, the player will be deleted from your ootp league.
I put also a minimum days and maximum days for the event.

So i will put the player injured base on the injury number and the number of days based on the min/max and again, if the player died, he will be deleted from the league. Same thing applied for free agents and coaches.

The only thing to complete are: 1 - print the result
2 - apply the change to the league.

That's absolutely fantastic, Pierre! I had already started customizing your "beta" version and loved it. Can't wait to try this version out. Thanks!

Now I have another idea for something else.

Create an extension of the OOTP finance.
ie: Pay your salary as an owner
Pay share dividend to share holder
Put cash at the bank to make a small %
Do a loan to be able to have more cash at the beginning of the season (with monthly payment)
Put cash in share and try to have a greater % or maybe
loss money
Pay state taxes for the stadium
Pay other salaries
Stadium maintenance
etc...

I'm trying to find ideas from your feedback

thanks

Instead of deleting him from the league, could you give him an # of days injured of 254 so it's marked as a career ending injury? It'll ensure BOSI picks this up and keeps track of his injury appropriately.

Also, could you generate your own injury numbers for these events, and put that in the injury ID? If these events can be exported, I'll work up an importer so they can be uploaded and supported in BOSI.

I like this. I can put a higher priority on my "stadium builder" mod for BOSI. I am going to allow the commish to set prices for different modifications to a stadium as well as how to price up a new stadium. If they are taking out a loan for this new stadium, or stadium upgrade, I could export that figure to your tool which could work up the interest payments and scheduled payments (new stadiums in the TLB generally cost the team about $70m, and they can spread that over 5 years) which could then feed back to BOSI

As long as our programs play nice together, we could tie anything you make into BOSI to make life easier for on-line leagues, while still supporting the solo player with your utilities.

is there anyone that would put together a list of like 30-40 events with occurance? i tried, but my numbers got all screwy, a couple times i had 40 some Plane Crashes where it killed everyone

what i tried to do was break it into categories:
Plane Crash - Killed
Plane Crash - Season Over
Plane Crash - All-Star Break

but i don't know if that is something someone would want to do

I was just thinking if someone had the time and the want, that would be really cool

The user can put the death flag to no and used injury number 254 with no problem.
For generating injury number, I know that an injured player is link to the injury.txt file, so that's why I wnat the user to select the injury number. I guess they can add other ones if they want in the injury.txt file.
I dont want to pass to much time on this one, I rather want to put more effort on the Finance one.
Also the events are stored in a csv file.

Any online leagues planning to use this? I'd be interested to follow the results and see the owner reaction.

I'd still like to see a death flag be a 254 if possible, so the game handles his retiring from a career ender, and BOSI would do the same. If you just delete the player, BOSI would "retire" him like he retired that year, and how would OOTP handle it? Would that player be kept track of in things like the almanac?

As for the rest, as long as the user puts the injuries into the injury.txt file, you don't need to export ANYTHING. BOSI will pick it all up straight from OOTP.
