Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here, I just think you would have a bigger online league community than you think if it was properly implemented.

I don't play in any online leagues, so I may not know exactly how they are run, but from what I gather, owners of whatever team set their line-ups, send them in to whoever is hosting the league, and that person then simulates the games. I assume that person then sends a save file of the league back to the owners, and they rinse & repeat.

My suggestion isn't for those online leagues to be hosted by you. Keep the online leagues exactly the way they already are, player hosted, just add the ability for us connect & play a head-to-head game within that already player hosted league. After the head-to-head game is played, the state of the league is then saved by the person who hosted just as if the game was simulated, and can still be sent to other owners.

Of course I have no idea what sort of programming would be needed to make something like that possible, so I guess I should apologize for my ignorance as I'm sure there's a lot more to it than I appear to be aware of, but it's still something that I think would be more popular than you realize.

We will have head-to-head play in PT sometime, because here we have a centralized architecture that actually allows us to do this in a proper way.
So you can do it in PT but not OOTP? Hmmmm
