Dennis Martinez and Chris Colabello are 2 silver cards that really surprised me. Shawn Green has been absolutely killing it for me but he's a Gold and I expected him too.
LIVE Kershaw and Snell both are pretty big duds in my experience.

I had Colabello in the beta. I kept trying to replace him, and then I kept putting him back in the lineup. Versatile and very consistent in a world of variability. "Not a star but a dirtdog."

Lorenzo Cain just got me a 48-game hitting streak. In diamond. <3 Lorenzo Cain. |

Wow, I've never seen such a long hitting streak (and in diamond?!) - not even in years of solo play. I wonder if anyone has seen one comparably long?

I got him from a pack but I have seen him on AH. Just look for the highest priced silver card

I amazed how badly Kershaw is doing on 2 of my teams. 99 overall.

I am starting to find him now. Thanks. Initially it was rare to see him in the auction. Ozzie 78 right, not the 74. Going for 13,555 PP's. That is a lot for a 78.

Yes, the 78. That is a lot but he consistently hits .250 for me in Perfect League, steals bases, and plays elite defense. It depends on what your team is designed to do but in my case he is "The Wizard," of course.

Yadier Alvarez (79) has an ERA under 3.00 as a middle reliever for 3 straight seasons for my Gold team.

Omar Dahl has been a great find for my Silver League team.
Disappointment would be 93 Snell. |

Alex Wood has been my biggest surprise we are in the playoffs at Gold Level and he is the best pitcher in a staff that has Corbin,Wheeler and Cluber. Biggest disappointments have been Rendon, Doolittle, and Machado who have been consistent but not near as good as I expected. Jesus Aguilar too has been pretty suprising still hitting them out at Gold.
Raines, Cain, McCovey, JD ave been with me most of the way and are consistent and their stellar play has got my Houston High Heaters in the sub league championship at Gold. Finally Ichiro 2001 card is probably the most consistent since Bronze. Last edited by Dr.K; 01-20-2019 at 06:43 PM. |

I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to avoid all hitters with sub-30 Avoid K ratings. They chronically under perform in Silver and above.

1921 Babe Ruth, which is second best WAR season ever, and the card puts up .220 with 20HRs and is not worth it. While I dont expect the card to put up similar numbers from real stats because the pitchers are so much better, it should do better than 99% of the other hitters considering its all-time overall WAR and it doesnt even come close. I see tons of gold cards with much worse ratings that out perform it. Joke.
