Liked them as the Wheels better. They had a 62 Mets feel to them, beer was cheap, and I tormented Allain Roy one whole season.

Remember Art Neill and his pregames? It was comedy gold if you caught Art on "certain nights" if you know what I mean.

Grew up on the Gears. Dennis is a Saginaw legend. Marcel Comeau, Stu Irving and Dave Westner as well. What a crazy league the IHL was. The Gears went through a pretty good run of putting goalies in the league, Lessard, Froese and Keans. I do remember Art Neill.
