We shouldn't have problems with OOTP making money. A profitable business can invest in product improvements. We all have an interest in them putting out the best product they can.

If this is true, the updates shouldn't be as troublesome. What I'd suggest going forward is a **planned** overall update.
Keep putting out backward compatible versions for online leagues for day-to-day bug fixes for the Perfect Game players and once a month distribute a full update, which incorporates fixes for the main engine and Perfect Game.
Marcus has stated that the Perfect Game isn't taking away resources for OOTP. If that's true, the OOTP programming team should already be at work on OOTP 20.
This is just one guy's opinion, however.
