1. He said damn screen, not damn you. You started asking about things that may be lodged in his rectal region.
2. Respect is earned. So someone you don't know isn't going to get it automatically. You're definately not going to get it being obstinate when a number of fellow posters complain about your sig and you could care less. 3. Your not one of those old guys who thinks the world should give you respect because your old, are you? I respect my elders that show me that their time on earth has made them someone to respect. Just being old isn't a prerequisite. 4. Only the next few years will see if C.C is overrated or not. Either of you could be dead wrong. Thanks for changing the sig, even with the smart ass comment, thanks anyway. [ February 25, 2002: Message edited by: Khaos ]</p>

I didn't expect to get this big of a reaction to me asking for a picture to be removed. I apologize for any trouble I may have caused. However, no words in my post were an attack on you JD, just your signature. So, if you take offense to the comment I made on CC or your signature, then boy, your too sensitive. But I will apologize anyway to you, because I'm not a bad person like you may think. Thanks for shrinking the pic.

Did anyone else notice how the Indians structured CC's contract? The big bucks of the contract don't really pick up until 2005/6 and they have an option to buy out from it for a mere 250k. I'm not going to say he's a fluke but from the structuring of the contract the Indians are not completly positive its wasn't either.
There were alot of rookies last season who could of had a fluke season or just be one-season wonders, only time will tell. |

I believe the Indians are trying to follow the same format that Hart originally started in the mid nineties. Lock up your young talent, while at the same time earning their loyalty with you paying them and showing your dedication and confidence by signing them long term early in their career.
The one difference is they won't be shelling out the bucks for veterans like they did with Murray, Hershieser, and Martinez.
