Anyone else get this? Is there anything to combat this aside from editing each and every Draftee?
I'd say he's stuck in AA because he wasn't developed properly. in the draft year he should be at A-. 1st full season, he needs to start at A+. 2nd season, move him to AA. 3rd season, AAA and knocking on the door to the ML. If he can't follow that path, he's either a bust or shouldn't have been drafted that high

I still think the problem is the way the game moves players through the minors

Typically I see the college guys ready to start at Around A level lower down in the list. Their potential is much lower but there current higher. They might have 35-40 in some current areas. Easily able to start at A or A-. Where as all those 5 star guys usually are like 20/25 current with 70-80 potential. Of course its not every draft, in every league, in every file. But just some things to look for.

Setting service times and age limits helped the AI push prospects forward in my save. Without any of these, the AI will sometimes keep players in levels that they shouldn’t be playing in eventually stunting their growth.

Yes I turn on IRL service time and roster limits for MiLB as well. If not the AI does perform awkwardly.

Does this sometimes lead them to cutting a future star. Sure does. But it also leads the human to sometimes cutting a future star. Just like IRL. It does bring order to the Minors though. And not have the Yankees have 150 guys at each level or something absurd.

I do suggest also turning on at least all of the Indy leagues. Except Cuba and Australia. They are bugged.

You might see a 19 yr old MiLB cast off all of sudden going to say Italy for 2 years. Then Us Indy's for 2. Now he is 24 and ready for either AAA or a bench role in the show. That is pretty cool stuff even if its rare.

I don’t set roster limits though, the cuts are too random with that on.
