Trouble Installing
I've downloaded the zip file, but cannot locate the 3D models/stadiums folder to put it in. The only folder I have under OOTP Baseball 21 is saved_games. I've even tried clicking view and revealing hidden folders, but that doesn't change anything. Can anyone throw me a bit of advice? Thanks!

For the steam version it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 21\data\ballparks\models

I followed the tutorial got to see correct stadium with the real ads in 2D but when I went to open it in 3D the ads were now missing. I had no problem with the historical 3D stadiums loading in. When I manually open the stadium file in "models" I see no ad files present. Do they appear after I load the "prk" file because if they are supposed to appear they are not being released from the "prk" file when I open the "prk" file. For info, in OOTP 20, in order to get any of the modded 3D stadiums to load in properly I had to rename the "prk" file to "pod" to get it to load in and work. I tried that in OOTP21 but to no avail it didn't make a difference it still did not show any ads in the 3D stadium. What am I doing wrong?

Do these need refreshing for OOTP22 or can they be used on day 1?

That's correct. There is no in game import of parks from version to version although I would really like that, especially when importing a save game from the prior version

All,
When I look at the 3D version of Ebbetts Field (1949 season) half of the screen is the stadium's roof. I have seen this in some other parks as well. How can I get rid of the roof? Thanks. |

Before game when you see the teams, at the top, in the middle, there is something called "General Game Options" scroll down in there until you see "Camera Options" you will see Initial Camera View That's probably set to default or Overview. Change it to like behind pictures mound or behind home plate. Then set pitch camera view to behind mound, and action view to wide, wide-low or something that shows the view of the field. |

I posted this in the general forums, but thought I might get an answer here.
So I was playing around with the Ballpark Construction Kit, and I created a park, Grayson Stadium, named after the park here in Savannah, but am not currently using it in my universe. I did find the park under "No League" in the game when I could add it to a current team in my MLB universe. Curious as to where I find these in the OOTP folders? Would like to delete some of them, just to clean things up. For some reason I have four Grayson Stadiums listed, but the park themselves are the same, I guess I just changed the dimensions. I took over the Rockies expansion team in 1993, and am using the stadium that you created, so I don't want to change that, but would just like to clean up the many stadiums listed under "No League". I didn't see where I could delete them out of the game. I plan on creating a fictional league next, and want to use some of your stadiums for that league. Hope this makes sense. Working on my first stadium - using SketchUp 2017 (still the free full version) so far everything works. Just following Mike's guide. I will post it when I am done.

At first I had the same problem. To get the default to change click on the 3d on the left side then click on the obj file, should be one of only two options you have.

Perhaps one of the experts can help. I did my first stadium following the videos, and it worked great. I did my second stadium, and when I go to use the exportOBJ extension w/in SketchUp - it produces a file that only 14MB vs 300+MB for my first stadium. When I go to import this OBJ file into OOTP - its blank, nothing. The "Textures" & mtl files are there. Any clue why the object exporting would be creating such a small file?

Yes - for those that have this same issue - it happens if your original sketchup model is not centered on thr deafult x y z axis. My obj model was fully imported into OOTP but was waaaay off center. Hitting center obj in window on the ootp 3d park builder brought the image back into frame. However when attempting to lay out field grid - this did not work as the two would never line up. You could see both if you scrolled way out.
To fix i copied the existing park image from the sketchup file and opened a brand new sketchup file - with the x y z at the default positions. I then moved my ballparks home plate to be right over the blue axis in sketchup (like defined in videos). Once i did this and re exported and imported back into ootp everything was good. So just a heads up for anyone who might experience this. Many thanks to for helping me Mike/slivam14
