lol...while I personally hate the DH, an alltime league begs for it. More top players, so I've got more desire to see how they fare as opposed to seeing how pitchers fare hitting. So that's the one where I go against my personal tastes here.

As for the question, I suppose it's not really except that I have a bit more control on who's in it. It's designed to be all made up of players who had decent careers at a minimum.

It is funny you say that because it was really brought on by logos. I downloaded that 5000 logo pack, and the original names were the Memphis Sounds and the Los Angeles Idols. But there wasn't a logo for either so I adapted 😊

Pilots Take Cobb With ABL's First Pick

The Alltime Baseball League's inaugural draft is underway and the Denver Pilots were the first team called to the podium, making Ty Cobb the first pick in ABL history.


A fleet centerfielder with a line drive stroke, scouts had rated Cobb as the top player available in the draft, despite his lack of power. Described as a "hitting machine," Cobb is viewed as a perennial batting title contender and a stolen base threat as well.


The Pilots reportedly considered fellow outfield prospects Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle, each boasting more power than Cobb, but Denver decided Cobb was the player they sought to build around.


The Portland Robins are up next.

The first round of the Alltime Baseball League draft saw a decided slant toward everyday players rather than pitchers, which was not completely unexpected. Outfielders in particular led the way.

The only seemingly outlandish pick is Sacramento's selection of Dode Paskert in the first round. Jesse Tannehill going as the first pitcher was a surprise, but on a lesser scale.
