I agree. The problem isn't the injury sequence, which I think is working exactly as it should. The problem is the GM AI offering multi-year deals to a pitcher with a serious injury. Frankly, if it had been one year and 13 million, my response would be that this stuff happens in real life all the time. It's the three year deal that makes the result weird. The GM AI probably needs work, but that's true of every AI in every game on the market.

OTOH, if we're dealing with a genuine ace, I suppose this could happen in real life as well.
