[The Game]

It's taken me 9 days so far to finish painting my den because i sit down to play OOTP everyday. I still have to do a 2nd coat.
Day 1 moved a few things out, sat down played OOTP for 3 hours, . went to bed.
Day 2 moved afew things again, played for a few hours.
Day 3 cleaned and blue taped everything and then played OOTP.
Day 4. Played OOTP
Day 5. painted one wall, played OOTP
day 6-9 repeat.

Agreed with all the above; here I am at 2:00 am setting up a independent league for my real/fictional league! Problem, what problem? Now Markus has me messed up with his hint at another add later on this summer. Wonder how many hours of sleep I will lose wondering about that....

This is a real problem in my life. I love the game but it's so addictive. Especially online leagues. Most of my year at school was spent making or discussing trades in class. On the bright side it helped make senior year of high school even more fun

This is an interesting thread, but what do OOTP users do when they don't have hours each day to play? What if you just have 15 to 30 minutes of free time (if that)? How would you play this game with little time?

That's a great question, Daves. It's one that I contemplate frequently these days, as I consider finally taking my retirement.

The short answer is, no, you cannot learn this game and play it well without a significant amount of time devoted to it. And without learning it (including all of its features) and playing it well (meaning WINNING once in a while, for goodness sake!), you cannot enjoy it.

Try to make time for it, which is a facile and dumb answer. Or, look forward to it in your own retirement!

I would say if I didn't have hours to play/plan out my leagues then I would probably just play MLB Manager on my phone to get my OOTP fill.

That is exactly what I do. I still get OOTP18 but I mostly use for historical playoff series or designing a playoff league. But MLB manager works well with very little free time. The disappointing part is the app has not really been receiving updates or improvements from the prior year.
