ootp5 crashing - Page 2

Bump agian, Did it work for those of you that uninstalled and started over??? And did you add the 5.1 patch?

I too had this problem. It would crash while I simmed, happened every now and then. I haven't had it happen lately though. I'm in manager mode. I don't recall what day it happened on or if I lost any stats.

Since I patched to 5.01 I'm getting some crashes too in my league. Started with a standard league/manager on. Using OOTP's built in schedule generator.

The game crashes sometimes after the last game on a particular day is simmed. When it crashes, sometimes all player stats for the season EXCEPT the stats from the current month vaporize. The league doesn't seem to be permanently harmed except for the loss of stats, but that's annoying in itself.

Nothing I've changed has fixed this, I've just been backing up my league .dat files each month manually and reapplying them in the case of a crash.

This is on a P3 800 with 512 ram, Win98SE.

did anyone else try changing the year starts on day... I haven't had a single crash since I did.

Also if you're having a similar problem to this post your specs to see if we all have something in common.

did anyone find out what the problem was? The same thing is happening to me. I know it's not a space issue, because I have a new computer.

I am getting mad, it has happened twice to me in one season!

I still have no clue and haven't heard anything about the big boys getting to the bottom of it. Sorry....Alot of us are in the same boat. Basically tainted almanacs all the way thru. Good luck..
