Same here. Please fix the Steam- based Linux version. Didn't install the beta version in Linux but it automatically updated to the demo version17.11.69...

Question

I took the roster update and made some additional updates. Can I install this update and still use the roster set I have been working on? If so, is this automatic or do I need to do something manually?

Thanks!

Sure. You may want to save your roster as a template first, then you can load it after installing the patch.

Even easier, you can just load the saved game you edited the roster in and keep playing that.

While I appreciate all the fixes, I'm a little disappointed that the major bug where teams release players (sometimes star players) when they're ready to come off the DL hasn't been addressed. This happens multiple times per season, and it's frustrating to have to go into Commish mode to place those guys back on their teams (and figure out their contract situation). I've posted about this before, and I can't believe I'm the only one to have this happen. Teams activate an injured player from the DL, send him to a minor league team for rehab, and release him all in the same day.

Oops - sorry! We'll fix that ASAP (will need an hour for the builds).

You're not the only one this has happened to. I mentioned this in another thread about this problem in the bug forum. This has happened to me, too, and the reason was that the player was assigned to a rehab stint for a club that plays in a league with age limits, and the player was too old for that league.

Hopefully in OOTP18 it will be programmed to disregard the ages of players on rehab assignments.

It seems post season stats are fine in the historical database. I started a historical season in 2015, and everything was fine.

It seems that some of the player ids are also wrong, with the players that DO have postseason stats. wrong numerical and historical. This is only with 2016 that reads from default.wtp

Is this just an issue with converting to UTF-8? Don't have a mac, just wondering out of curiosity.

For real?? It happened to me too and I didn't know it was the reason. What do you recommend? I don't have age limit for my AAA league, but AA is 25, A 25, SA, 24, R 22

Good to hear it's known. That was a really difficult bug to search for (all the search terms are so common).

Is there any way to prevent it from happening without getting rid of age limits?

I'd say don't have them in the AAA so there's always a place to send people.

and I'd guess you want to make sure there is room on the AAA roster (either no limit or keep it high)

Unlimited on AAA is also kind of needed. It also lets the AI handle September callups correctly. You can indirectly control roster limits by the other screen where you set how many batters and pitchers teams carry. When you have a roster limit, the AI wants to keep teams at that limit.

No idea if it was the patch or my own wonky league, but after I updated, my ticket price had gone up 400% on its own.

Can't DFA only

Posted in the Bug Forum as well.

The option to DFA only is now missing under the transaction options. Waive and DFA remains, and can still drag/drop to DFA only.

I notice this as well, the DFA only option is missing under the "transaction options".

Dynamic means on demand.

I'm seeing the same two bugs that the other people have listed on here(posted on their thread, in the bug section too, the ones where the DFA only button is missing as well as on the manager screen,it showing all of baseball's top prospects instead of just mine) it's not really a game breaker for me, but I can see why some would be annoyed.

I didn't notice the last. It looked all right to me. Maybe I missed it in .70
Is there a widget choice? Is there a dropdown?

For the prospects, there's a widget choice(when I first looked, I didn't even see the choice for "team prospects") but then I saw there were choices, then once I put "team prospects" the whole major leagues top prospects showed up

Luckily for me, I rarely look at the "manager" screen, I usually look at "team home page" and it works there.
