The problem I have now is that the logo and background are a tick lighter in color than menu and schedule area. The color settings are the same. I've included a screenshot to show what I mean. It's almost like there is a darker filter on the other area.
Could you post the names of the other files that you made transparent to achieve the above? I've changed top_background.png to transparent but now have the large baseball image appearing in the background of my team headers. I'd love to make it a plain backdrop.

EDIT: Whoops! I found the root issue right after I posted. I didn't realize that you can alter team backgrounds in the install/backgrounds folder.

I usually play full screen but the standing in the upper right is so bad and distracting, I've reduced the width of my game screen to get rid of it. Everything else seems to resize nicely without any impact so far. I lost use of approximately two inches of actual width on the monitor, which is disappointing (I have a 27" monitor).

Now I need to figure out how to change the background image at the top to solid black, so all of the white text is readable.

Any one have ideas on how to do this without messing up stuff too bad?
Thanks,
Tim

Personally I'm fine with it, but I wonder if reducing the over all size of it would look better? If it was a bit smaller (font etc) then there'd be no scroll bar. I think what might be putting people off too is the schedule next to it is neat and tidy but the standings are a larger font and perhaps look out of place?

Markus,
I don't understand the need for it there. On a few screens it is shown twice, it is very small and to see the entire division you must scroll and scroll even more to see the full standings. When I need the standings, I simply go to the standing screen which shows me everything on one screen plus a bunch of other info.

Can you setup a poll to see what everyone else thinks? I can't believe you think the best solution is for me to reduce the resolution to play just to remove an ugly feature.

Can you also investigate an option that turns that feature on/off so those of that don't like it can remove it?

Thanks,
Tim

No, I cannot post a poll. Soemtimes I make a decision because I want it to work a certain way. And I want the standings to be visible at ll time for me, simple as that. If you disagree, make your resolution smaller until it disappears.

Now, I agree that currently it does not fit the style of the upper area, and I may change that.

Sorry , but are you joking?
You tell me to lower my game reso. on an native 1080p display ?
So i have to play OTTP17 in window mode about 2/3 size of my screen just to get rid of this standing box ?
Just because YOU like it ?

Maybe you like it, but as you see not all of us like it

Why not make it optional ? Or just an alternate skin file without it ?
Or tell me what skin file to edit myself, but it looks like its hardcoded , true ?

This would please all customers and you

PS: Why does the box disapear when setting the font size to max without restart ?
That looks ok than , but it cant be an "normal design decision" to make something work like this

No, I am not. Case closed.

PS: I changed the style of the standings a bit, it no longer has a background that does not fit the upper area.
