Bring my fictional league over from 16 on my home computer and then start a historical league with minors in 1919 on my laptop. After I figure out how bring over everything in add ons central again (that may take some time and much cursing at the computer, and questions in the forums again!).

The first thing that I will do is start my first fictional league. I still need to decide on the setup, but I will save my Real player league in a few weeks.

I was going to say that I was going to just start up the 2016 Milwaukee season, and work on the rebuild, but now I'm tossing up between that, and playing around with some historical seasons first. Could the Brewers win it 1982? Montreal in 1994? Take a shot with the 2001 Seattle team, or 1954 Cleveland team? Any countless number of other examples?
I'll probably still do what I was going to do first, but I'd be curious to see what could have happened to some of those "near miss" teams from the past, and see if they can win it in the game. |

I just put together in OOTP16 (for importing into OOTP17) the USA Baseball League(186 teams) and the USA Developmental League(200 teams).
I also want too do something with the 1967 Historical Minor Leagues(especially the IL and PCL). Might take the 4 MLB 1969 expansion teams and place them in the minor leagues a year or too before their arrival in MLB. Also with the schedule editor I would like too make a more realistic PCL schedule including longer home stands for the Hawaii Islanders. I play 2 game series in all my leagues so I would like to expand the Islanders to hosting 4 straight hames against the same team rather than two games. Doesn't bother me if two teams play each other ten times in a division when other teams might only play a handful of divisional games against each other. As long as every team finishes with the same amount of games is all that matters. |

I spent most of my OOTP 16/MLB Manager 15 time building franchises that were just on the cusp of potential greatness but never quite found that success in real life (the 1980 Expos being the inspiration for this mindset)
This year, I feel like my OOTP 17/MLB Manager 16 time should be spent at the helm of completely hopeless, non-expansion scenarios to see if I'm skilled enough to drag teams from their own ashes and into contention. For some reason, the pre-relocation St. Louis Browns jumped to mind once I decided on this direction. Likely going to hop in around 1949ish to give myself a bit of a chance at avoiding the historical floor that the Browns hit before shuffling off to Baltimore. Ultimately, I'm just interested in seeing if I can build a franchise that can either reclaim St. Louis from the red-feathered grip of the Cardinals or just be a suitable 1a under the NL club's shadow. Once that drives me to the point of insanity, I'll just take over the 2016 Pirates. |

Port over my 5 existing leagues and then start my 6th (a Blue Jays quick-start).
(Let's be honest, I'll spend a bunch of time grumbling about settings not porting over and reloading all the park pictures and turning off all that 3-D nonsense...)

projects to be completed (and in no particular order)
1. Contract down to some number of teams between 20 and 24. Start a league from scratch with everyone as free agents, controlling the team I put in New Jersey. 2. Somewhere along the line (haven't decided the year): Players, fans and a group of investors who worked with the players got fed up with all the work stoppages. After a lockout imposed by the owners, a new league was formed. And we take off from there. 3. Pick a random team and a random year and try to build a dynasty. 4. Pick some number of all time great teams and play out a season with all these teams facing one another. 5. Do the same as above but instead of playing a season, make it a tournament, where each team plays a best of seven series against another and the winners move to the next round. I think that just about covers it. oh wait... there's more... 6. Grab a team in 2016, play out the season and years going forward. 7. I had another thought and now it's lost. |

The first thing I'll do is agonize over the settings for about an hour... then I'll start up the 2016 SF Giants!

I will setup a replay of the 1959 World Series so I can watch little Nel and Aparicio make their plays at 2B & SS on 3D. : )
Then either play WSeries 2005 or play some 2015 playoffs with Cubs/Cards !! Can't wait. Thank you again Markus and crew...

I was going to say the first thing I do with the new release is drink, but sounds like we'll be getting it out earlier in the day than expected, so I guess I'll have to wait on that.

Although I can look through my team history and find when I first started working for OOTP. That was the first year that I missed the playoffs
